Terms of use

The rules for using the Product Marketing Jobs Board and for posting a role, in plain English.

Last updated 19 October 2026

Version 2026-10-19. This page is a draft awaiting legal review, and it may change before the Product Marketing Jobs Board launches publicly.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

The Product Marketing Jobs Board is run by Product Marketing Alliance Limited ("PMA", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 12181066. Our registered office is 147 De Beauvoir Road, London, N1 4DL, United Kingdom. You can reach the Product Marketing Jobs Board team at jobs@productmarketingalliance.com.

These terms apply to everyone who uses the Product Marketing Jobs Board. Sections 5 to 9 also apply to employers who post a role or use the talent pool, and section 10 to PMA members who use member features. If you use the Product Marketing Jobs Board for a business, you accept these terms for that business and confirm you're allowed to.

How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy notice, and cookies in our cookie notice.

2. Using the Product Marketing Jobs Board

  • Browsing, searching and applying are free, and we never charge job seekers for anything.
  • Roles come from employers who post directly and from public company careers pages (section 11). We check roles every day, but we can't promise every role is still open or every detail is right. Check the role on the employer's own site before you rely on it.
  • When you apply, you apply to the employer, not to us. We don't take part in any hiring decision and we aren't responsible for an employer's process or conduct.
  • We may change, pause or stop any part of the Product Marketing Jobs Board. We'll give employers with live paid promotions reasonable notice and deal with them under section 7.

3. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • post or send anything unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, defamatory or harassing, or anything you don't have the right to share;
  • scrape, copy in bulk, or use bots to access the Product Marketing Jobs Board, except search engines following our robots.txt;
  • try to get round our limits, security checks, moderation or bans, or test our systems for weaknesses without our written permission;
  • impersonate anyone, or use someone else's account or work email;
  • use information from the Product Marketing Jobs Board to send unsolicited marketing, or to build a database of people;
  • try to identify a member from an anonymised talent profile, or contact a member other than through an intro they accepted.

4. Accounts

Employers sign in with LinkedIn and verify a work email at the company they post for. PMA members sign in with LinkedIn and we check their membership. Keep your accounts secure and tell us at jobs@productmarketingalliance.com if you think someone else has used yours. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

5. Posting a role

  • Standard posts are free and stay live for 30 days.
  • You must be authorised to post for the company named, and every post must be a real, open role at that company that you're actively hiring for.
  • Every post must follow our posting guidelines, including the rules on fair, lawful wording.
  • Recruitment agencies and employment businesses. We're not taking posts from recruitment agencies or employment businesses yet. Only employers hiring directly for their own company may post. If you tell us you're an agency, or we find that a post is from one, we won't publish it, and we may remove it if it's already live.
  • If you name a hiring contact, you confirm they agreed to be named.
  • You're responsible for your post and for your recruitment process, including complying with equality, data protection and employment law. You confirm the post is lawful; we rely on that confirmation when we publish it.

6. Moderation and removal

Our team reviews every employer post before it goes live, usually within one business day. Our systems also flag possible spam and wording that may be discriminatory, but a person makes every decision to approve, reject or ask for changes on a post that reaches review. We may:

  • approve, decline, or ask you to change a post, and correct formatting (we'll never change the meaning of a post without telling you);
  • hide a post while we look into reports (three separate reports hide a post automatically until a moderator checks it);
  • remove posts, suspend accounts, and block users, companies or email domains that break these terms or our guidelines, or that we reasonably believe are spam, scams or harmful to job seekers.

Some submissions that are clearly automated spam are declined automatically. If you think we got a decision wrong, email jobs@productmarketingalliance.com and a person will review it.

7. Highlight & Pin, re-pins and extensions

  • What you get. Highlight & Pin pins a live post to the top of matching results for 10 days and highlights it for the rest of its 30 days. The 10 days start when the post goes live, so time in review is never lost. A re-pin buys another 10 days, starting when the current pin ends. An extension adds 30 days to a post, up to 90 days in total. We show the exact dates before you confirm.
  • Prices. The price is shown in US dollars when you ask for the promotion. Today Highlight & Pin and a re-pin are US$99 each, and an extension is US$49. Prices don't include VAT or other taxes, which we add where they apply.
  • Invoicing and payment. Until online payment is available, we invoice the email address you give us when you ask for a promotion. You can add a purchase order number and tax ID. Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice. A promotion starts once we confirm the order, or when the post goes live if that's later.
  • Nothing renews automatically. You pay again only when you ask for another pin or extension.
  • Refunds. If we decline your post before it goes live, we cancel the invoice or refund you in full. If a promotion doesn't run because of a fault on our side, we'll run it again or refund the unused part, as you prefer. If you close a post early, or we remove it because it breaks these terms or our guidelines, unused promotion time isn't refunded.
  • These services are sold to businesses, so the consumer cancellation rules in the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 don't apply.
  • We limit how many posts can be pinned at once, so pins stay valuable. If no slot is free, we'll tell you the earliest start before you confirm.

8. Your content, logos and our licence

  • You keep ownership of everything you post, including your company logo.
  • You give PMA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, format, display and share your post, company name and logo on the Product Marketing Jobs Board, in search engines and job services (for example Google for Jobs), and in PMA's own channels such as the weekly jobs roundup, newsletter, Slack community and social media, while the post is live and for a reasonable time after it closes. We may shorten or reformat content to fit these places.
  • You confirm you have the rights to give this licence and that your content doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
  • For companies we list from public careers pages, we show the company name and a logo found on the company's own website, only to identify the company. Ask us to remove or change either at any time (section 11).
  • The Product Marketing Jobs Board itself, its design, software and PMA's trade marks belong to PMA.

9. Talent pool (employers)

Where we give your company access to the PMA talent pool:

  • Profiles are anonymised. Use them only to decide whether to ask a member for an intro to a real, open role at your company.
  • Don't try to work out who a member is, copy or export profiles, or share them outside the people at your company who are hiring for that role.
  • When a member accepts your intro, you receive their contact details. From then on you're responsible for them as a separate controller under data protection law. Use them only to discuss that opportunity, keep them secure, and delete them when they're no longer needed for it.
  • We set and enforce limits on searches, views and intro requests, keep a record of every search, view and request, and may suspend access if members report misuse.

10. PMA members

Member features (the member account, talent profile and intros) are optional and need a current PMA membership. You can pause or delete your profile, withdraw an intro offer or delete your account at any time. Accepting an intro shares your details with that one employer or member, and we can't recall details once they've been shared. The community privacy notice explains how this works.

11. Roles from public careers pages, and removal requests

We show a short summary of product marketing roles published on companies' public careers pages and link to the original to apply. We remove email addresses and phone numbers from the summary, close a role as soon as it's no longer on the careers page, and never sell a promotion on a role we collected. If you speak for a company and would rather we didn't list its roles, or want a role, name or logo corrected, use our listing removal form or email jobs@productmarketingalliance.com. Once we've confirmed you speak for the company, we remove the roles and stop collecting them.

If you think something on the Product Marketing Jobs Board is unlawful or about you (for example, defamatory), email jobs@productmarketingalliance.com with the page address and what's wrong, and we'll respond promptly.

12. Our responsibility to you

  • Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you use the Product Marketing Jobs Board as a consumer, your legal rights are not affected.
  • The Product Marketing Jobs Board is provided "as is". We aren't responsible for roles, employers, applications or hiring decisions, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.
  • For businesses: we aren't liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability arising from the Product Marketing Jobs Board in any 12 months is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us for the Product Marketing Jobs Board in those 12 months and £[TO CONFIRM: 100].
  • Employers are responsible for, and will cover PMA's reasonable costs arising from, a claim that their post or their use of the talent pool broke the law or someone else's rights.

13. Changes, law and disputes

  • We may update these terms. The version and date are at the top of this page, and each version stays available at its own address (this one is /terms/2026-10-19). An employer accepts the current version each time they submit a post, and we record which version that was. We'll give employers with active paid promotions notice of material changes.
  • These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Business disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
  • If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
