Description

The Senior Product Marketing Manager is responsible for managing the marketing and communication lifecycle for the product, service and package offerings of Level Access. They will collect, frame, and execute on key insights, leading programs ranging from product launches to content development. The SPMM will develop highly differentiated messaging and positioning and design initiatives to sustain awareness of core features and value propositions. They are in charge of developing and managing product-to-market fit collateral, pricing, solution packaging, competitive analysis and the creation of effective product marketing strategies that increase sales by articulating the solution’s value proposition. For solution packaging, pricing, and go to market strategies this work is done in close collaboration with other departments.

The Senior Product Marketing Manager is proficient with feature differentiation practices and competitive analysis, and they conduct regular market research with customers, providers, and external partners. They must maintain excellent relationships with the customer base and vendors, as well as with internal team members. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will serve as a conduit for customer feedback to other departments when that feedback can be used in developing or upgrading current or future products.


A bachelor's degree in marketing, related field or direct experience is necessary for this career. Previous years of managerial experience and leadership certifications may be preferred. Senior Product Marketing Managers should have strong logic skills that help them with business obstacles that prevent a successful product launch, as well as excellent communication skills. These managers should also have the ability to manage multiple overlapping projects, as well as effectively communicate with other managers and marketing professionals. Additionally, they should have leadership skills that facilitate team cohesion and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities


  • Leverage customer health insights from the customer experience team to implement and optimize marketing programs to improve customer retention via lifecycle communications, transactional streams, and promotional campaigns
  • Leverage customer insights and collaborate with account management to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities and develop marketing campaigns
  • Develop winning customer-specific propositions, along with close partnership with Marketing counterparts to influence future innovation pipeline & programs based on channel insights
  • Act as a resource for other departments by being the authority on customer trends, product strengths/weaknesses, and competitive landscape
  • Assist in planning, development, and presentation of sales & brand materials at all key Trade Shows and Customer Collaboration Planning sessions, ensuring our sales strategies and brand initiatives are well represented
  • Track and report on ROI of customer engagement efforts
  • Drive articulation of product portfolio positioning and Go-to-Market (GTM) planning and processes that aligns with organizational goals and initiatives
  • n collaboration with Sales and Customer Success teams, own development of buyer persona-focused collateral, including datasheets, website pages, and other materials that help tell the product story
  • Research and analyze market trends, competitive landscape, buyer personas, and customer insights to develop compelling product differentiation and value propositions aligned with the customer journey
  • Own and maintain the official customer journey definition and coordinate with users of this journey across the company to ensure consistent use
  • Develop long-term product marketing launch plans and lead the readiness of the business, including partnering with
  • Interview prospects, customers and partners to understand customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform and influence future product development strategy
  • Collaborate with both the Product and Marketing teams on campaigns to drive demand and leads for the solution
  • Lead solution packaging discussions and develop related marketing collateral and resources
  • Brief and educate other cross-functional departments including Training, Sales, Sales Ops, Customer Success, and Services on new launches, solutions, and product marketing resources
  • Align with sales team on sales enablement efforts including competitive messaging, sales kits, and other launches
  • Partner with Customer Marketing on use, retention and expansion strategies for specific products as well as regularly communicate product performance/adoption and growth across key metrics
  • Work internally with Finance, Services, Sales, and executive leadership on GTM and pricing strategies and implementation of pricing framework in the CRM system

Requirements

·      5+ years of experience in a high-tech B2B company product marketing role

·      Proven track record working with Product and Sales teams on enablement strategies to increase understanding of solutions, articulation of value proposition, and provide solution expertise

·      Solid experience with building and managing go-to-market product launch frameworks

·      Exceptional visual, verbal and written communication skills

·      Creative with ability to solve complex problems in a unique or innovative way

·      Experience developing competitive intelligence tools

·      Comfortable speaking with and leading discussions with customers, partners, and vendors

·      Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or comparable education/experience

·      Nice to haves: familiarity with digital accessibility, Pragmatic Marketing certified, M.B.A
