Senior Product Marketing Manager, New Merchant Services

About the Team

The B2B Product Marketing team leads product marketing for our B2B audiences, starting with restaurants and expanding to corporate clients (DoorDash for Work) and businesses in other categories. This team is in charge of defining the audience for our products, understanding their needs, collaborating with the Product and Strategy teams to build products, programs, and tools to meet those needs, bringing those products to market, and developing automated programs post-launch to get ongoing feedback and drive continued engagement and adoption.

About the Role

The Senior PMM, New Merchant Services will help DoorDash understand the SMB (small to medium-sized business) audience and their needs, and design, test, launch and scale completely new businesses, products and services to meet those needs. Examples (illustrative-only) might include lending products for businesses or eco-friendly to-go packaging.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating at highly strategic and tactical levels, switching between them effortlessly. You will be deeply grounded in audience insights through partnership with research, analytics, and by driving original research to define the needs of the merchant audience. You will have a track record of leveraging insights to build consensus with large cross-functional teams and of building trusted relationships with senior product leaders. You will thrive on analytics and set a learning agenda for all projects that raises the bar for impact against engagement and business goals.

You’ll report to the Director of B2B Product Marketing, on the Product Marketing team (led by Brandon McGraw, Sr Director PMM) in the Marketing organization (led by Kofi Amoo-Gottfriend, VP Marketing).

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Develop a deeper understanding of the mom and pop SMB audience, in close collaboration with Insights, User Research and Analytics.
  • Define our strategy for better serving the SMB audience across products and make recommendations to senior product leadership to inform the roadmap
  • Partner closely across a diverse group of teams and stakeholders to design and launch new products, programs and tools to help SMBs profitably grow their business with DoorDash outside of the core Marketplace app
  • Define and drive comprehensive go-to-market plans for new features from audience definition, development of core value proposition, to launch and sustain through owned and in-product channels
  • Proactively identify, test, and scale opportunities to improve merchant acquisition and retention for new services through close partnership with analytics, product management, and business strategy
  • Lead complex cross-functional teams to execute marketing programs at scale, including partnering with Product Management, Engineering, Comms, Strategy & Ops, Finance, Analytics, CRM and Growth Marketing

We’re excited about you because…

  • You are a senior individual contributor or emerging people manager with 8+ years of experience
  • You are passionate about understanding small businesses and helping them succeed
  • You have a proven track record of driving successful go-to-market launches that drive adoption and bottom line impact
  • You make data-driven decisions and are fluent with data - including market/segment sizing, forecasting, and working with analytics to understand efficacy of campaigns after the fact
  • You’re a great cross-functional collaborator and have experience driving initiatives to build products or services for business audiences with a variety of cross-functional stakeholders (eg Marketing, Product, Design, Strategy/Ops)
  • You are a hacker: you have a bias for action, know how to get scrappy to solve problems, and love bringing ideas to life from hypothesis to finding product-market fit and achieving early scale
