Senior Manager, Competitive and Market Research

What you’ll do:   

Own competitive research strategy to enable us to compete, provide relevant intelligence, scalable processes, positioning, and differentiation to our Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams.   

  

Within the first six months, you’ll make an impact by continuing to develop the competitive program to gain insights that influence partners and key business decisions. You will set up an operational framework for collecting and integrating customer feedback with partners in the product and marketing teams. Collaborate with several teams that collect customer data and influence teams to drive a rhythm for discussion and action based on data insights.

Reporting to the Director, Product Marketing, you will:   



  • Lead competitive insight that is essential to a strategic narrative for Egencia and work across all levels of the organization.   
  • Manage a team of two.   
  • Lead a comprehensive competitive intelligence program, trends and insights, competitor product launches, objection handling, and more. Develop up-to-date tools (Crayon) and maintain competitor battle cards.  
  • Collaborate with others on projects that have a measurable impact on our revenue generation efforts, including demand generation/pipeline creation.   
  • Collaborate with field teams engaged in competitive discussions with prospects and customers.  
  • Partner with others in Marketing, in the production of a wide range of demand generation and sales enablement content, including blog posts, briefs, web content, slide decks, battle cards etc. and evangelize Egencia’s solution.   


Who you are:   

You're ready to lead, share and implement standard methodologies, unafraid to break existing rules and do things differently. Able to define and execute a vision across partners to develop strategic, impactful plans. With strong written and verbal communication skills, you are comfortable adjusting your communication style and working practices to accommodate different levels within the organization.  



  • 5+ years’ experience of working in a B2B SaaS/cloud business essential.   
  • 5+ years’ experience leading competitive projects, market analysis, competitive materials creation, and online competitive tools such as Crayon.   
  • Experience delivering impactful business recommendations, influencing decisions, and impacting results.   
  • Experience leading voice of the customer data collection, insights, and programmatic management that uses data to influence business strategy.  
  • Team management.
