Product Marketing Specialist

The Product Marketing Specialist is a key member of a newly formed high-performing Digital Strategy team accountable for Higher Education’s digital audience, product, and business growth. As a member of this team, you will contribute to the strategy and execution of innovative, efficient, and effective product marketing programs that build awareness, drive usage, and create overall business value to help our customers shape the future of business education.


This role will be highly collaborative working cross-functionally with stakeholders including sales, editorial, product management, customer success, and the Harvard community, our authors and global partners, and our customers.


Position Responsibilities:

 

-      Build, launch, and scale marketing campaigns that increase awareness of new learning products.

-      Execute on product launches beginning to end, and take the lead on updating marketing campaigns, sales collateral, and other product marketing material. 

-      Develop content including customer success stories, demos, presentations, how-to-guides, and product videos to help customers evaluate learning products.

-      Experiment with new marketing tactics and continuously run A/B tests to optimize product marketing campaign performance.   

-      Craft and communicate customer-centric value propositions to internal stakeholders to support the selling process.

-      Coordinate cross-channel product merchandising on our website and other marketing channels.

-      Manage and socialize calendar of product marketing activity, providing inputs on decisions for launch and GTM dates.

-      Compile and report out on product marketing campaign performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

-      Assist in coordinating customer research efforts and gathering customer feedback to shape product marketing efforts.

 

Position Requirements:


-      Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in product marketing, marketing communications, product management, or digital marketing.

-      Experience with product launches and in identifying user needs, key category trends and competitive landscape.

-      Experience creating high quality, customer-facing content, including presentations, web copy, sell sheets, etc.

-      Demonstrated copywriting capability, especially around crafting strategic messaging & positioning– can execute within a style guide and update materials without guidance.

-      Excellent project management skills, with demonstrated ability to juggle a lot of tasks and multiple projects at different stages of execution.

-      Works collaboratively and develops trusted cross-functional relationships to produce results within desired timelines, scope, and budget.

-      Customer-first mindset, always putting the user needs at the center of the work.

-      Able to act entrepreneurially in an established organization, and find creative ways to get things done bypassing budget or operational limitations.

-      Experience with Marketo, Salesforce, Adobe Analytics or learning products a plus.
