Product Marketing Manager

About the Role

 

The Product Marketing Manager will own the positioning, messaging, and branding of our product, gather and process customer feedback, and use this to support sales and customer success teams with their pipelines.

 

The Product Marketing Manager is a new role within the business and the PMM’s responsibilities will include:

  • Connecting teams: connecting the dots between Commercial and Product teams to ensure a continuous feedback loop with the customer at the core putting processes in place to make this easy to do. 
  • Core product propositions: Develop and maintain core product value messaging, ensuring that this maps clearly to customer needs, resonates with target audiences and drives velocity through the sales process. 
  • Training: create training processes to ensure the full sales team has a deep understanding of the product. This includes onboarding training for new starters and ongoing training for the full team on updates to the product and services.
  • Sales team enablement: create sales collateral to communicate the core value of our products value and how they work to internal and external audiences to support the sales team at every stage of the pipeline. 
  • Segment value messaging: Partner with Marketing and sales teams to produce regional, industry and persona level value propositions.
  • Competitive analysis: Ensure appropriate mechanisms and materials in place to capture and share competitive intelligence. 
  • Product roadmap: ensure strong understanding among Commercial teams of roadmap, including messaging and strategic vision. 

 

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in product marketing working closely with commercial teams to take products to market in a fast growth B2B tech company. 
  • Proven experience in producing training, content, tools and materials that effectively enable scaling Sales teams. 
  • The ability to grasp complex concepts and translate them into simple propositions for internal and external audiences. 
  • Strong communicator - using interpersonal and collaborative skills to bring our product to life and enable others to do the same. 
  • Passionate about collaboration bringing teams together to focus on the end customer. 
  • Natural storyteller able to intuitively craft persuasive and compelling product stories.
  • Familiarity with technical products and/or payments landscape preferred.
