Product Marketing Manager, Competitive Intelligence

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager, Competitive Intelligence that will help drive our go-to-market efforts by understanding the competitive and broader market landscape. This person will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and disseminating market intelligence through various research. They will use data gathered through market, customer, and field research to drive winning sales strategy, inform marketing campaigns, and product strategies to help us achieve revenue goals. 

 

The Product Marketing Manager, Competitive Intelligence, is a high-impact and high-visibility role within the organization and will report to the Head of Product Marketing. The person filling this role will be seen as the market landscape expert across the company and be consulted for product roadmap, marketing campaigns, and go-to-market competitive sales strategy. 

 

Responsibilities:


  • Conduct ongoing in-depth research on competitor go-to-market strategy and product capabilities using different research resources, including win/loss reports, primary, and secondary research
  • Own the win/loss program and leverage insights and findings to enable the sales team to close more deals, faster, and at a higher lifetime value 
  • Develop and update competitive content, including competitive battle cards quarterly 
  • Conduct regular cadence trends research report among key go-to-market verticals and use cases to make sure we have a differentiated story to the market 
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Sales leadership, Marketing, and Grow team by providing key competitive insights as part of strategic decision making efforts

Requirements:


  • Undergraduate degree; 3+ years of competitive, market research, sales, or marketing experience 
  • Highly skilled in conducting primary research (surveys, interviews, focus groups) and secondary research
  • Excellent analytical skills; a good understanding of research tools is a big plus (SQL, SPSS, etc.) 
  • Possess exceptional ability to work cross-functionally, with marketing, sales, product, and customer success
