Product Marketing Manager B2B2C (remote - US)

About the Position


Mercato is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to drive market success and adoption of Mercato’s online grocery platform. As Product Marketing Manager, you will report to the VP of Customer Acquisition and be responsible for promoting Mercato’s online marketplace. A successful Product Marketing Manager generates new Mercato merchants and consumers by establishing product strategies that solve market needs, have 5 years of product marketing experience, and a desire to inspire internal and external stakeholders. 


What You’ll Do


  • Execute a breadth of marketing initiatives, including co-marketing strategies, Brand Ambassador program, In-store signage, merchant and cashier referral program, online referral link program and more 
  • Create, expand, and run the Mercato Store Ambassadors program, including regular in store visits to key partners
  • Run in store marketing events, including in store and event popups, reporting success back to merchants and helping sell the program to additional merchants
  • Write creative briefs that inspire agencies, designers, and writers to do their best work 
  • Consistently monitor competitive intelligence to identify key opportunities and threats 
  • Create a dashboard and regularly report on a rigorous measurement plan with clear success metrics tied to driving strong growth and profitability 
  • Lead the Product Marketing function for our B2B2C channel 
  • Utilize consumer research (qualitative and quantitative) and trends to inform marketing strategy and initiatives; serve as the voice of our users and non-users
  • Project management of in-store events and store marketing launches


Qualifications


  • 5+ years work experience, 3+ years in Product Marketing at a e-commerce/start-up company 
  • Detail-oriented; strong written and verbal communication with the ability to express complex topics clearly and easily
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize responsibilities
  • High proficiency with Powerpoint or Google Slides and comfort with basic analytics
  • Strong business judgement and creative problem solving skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to navigate and influence internal management-level stakeholders
  • An interest in working in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment with changing responsibilities, and a willingness to lend a helping hand wherever it's needed
  • Willing to travel as required to meet with merchants
  • A love for food and interest in the grocery space
