Product Marketing Manager

Overview

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to help develop a complete marketing experience through every step of our product journey. Our core product is a mobile app for EV drivers that allows them to wirelessly connect to their vehicle or home charger, select their utility and tariff, and automatically enjoy the benefits of smart-charging including energy bill savings, rebates/rewards, and a continuous pipeline of features including solar-powered EV charging and discounts at public charging networks.


The Product Marketing Manager will help shape this product’s strategic market fit for different countries and US states, helping to shape the voice of the product, identifying new features, and actively marketing the product to grow our global base of EV drivers. In this cross-functional role, you will define and execute marketing strategies that drive measurable growth in adoption, engagement, loyalty and retention of the product, working closely with our engineering and design teams to design and deliver experiences that educate, inspire and delight EV drivers at key moments across the customer journey. You will report to our Head of Growth but work cross-functionally across geographical (North America, UK, Europe) and technical (strategic product, customer success, engineering, engineering) teams.

 


Responsibilities


Own our product positioning across our priority markets:

  • Conduct market research, driver interviews/surveys and feature testing to assess product-market fit across priority countries & US states
  • Translate driver needs into product features, and work with our strategic product team to ensure they are built and deployed


Take complete ownership of the strategy and implementation of the customer lifecycle to ensure users get the best experience of ev.energy:

  • Create the ideal user experience from end to end across our key channels: in-app, push and email
  • Build-in upsell/cross-sell opportunities for key partner activities using in-app, push notification and email channels
  • Develop and execute marketing plans to increase the number of EV drivers charging with the ev.energy app
  • Develop marketing campaigns with strategic partners to ensure existing EV drivers can take advantage of cross-partner offers
  • Work with Customer Success and the Analytics team to reduce user churn


Support other marketing efforts as required:

  • Develop marketing campaigns with strategic partners to increase downloads of the ev.energy app
  • Work with our utility partners to recruit EV drivers into white-labelled EV charging programs
  • Support other ev.energy marketing/press/event efforts, especially in the US

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Product Marketing Manager
  • Experience designing & executing integrated marketing campaigns
  • Hands-on experience with CRM tools (e.g. Braze, Hubspot, MailChimp etc.)
  • Experience in market analysis and using web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends)
  • Excellent communication skills, and a background in copywriting is a plus
  • A positive, can-do attitude that’s willing to work hard and continuously adapt to a quickly-changing market
  • Some exposure to the e-mobility and/or energy industries

The important details

  • Starting: Immediately
  • Location: Anywhere in the continental US (you must be legally authorized to work in the United States)
  • Hours: Full time, with ability to overlap with some of our European team’s core hours of 10am-4pm UK time;
  • Salary: $60k - $75k per year depending on experience;
  • Annual Leave: 25 Days plus one day per year of tenure (max 30 days) + national holidays.
