Smarsh is looking for a Director of Product Marketing to join our dynamic team. Director, Product Marketing:
- Strong product/market/corporate evangelist, with executive presence and customer-facing skills
- Will lead and manage product marketing personnel and implement an operating model for team success
- Leverage strong understanding of B2B SaaS technology landscape and B2B SaaS technology marketing to create and deliver impactful assets / positioning
- Partner with key stakeholders to properly position and message the company's value proposition, holistically as well as with each new product capability
- Collaborate with company executives, product management, sales, support, and marketing teams on GTM priorities, strategy, and execution
- Use data to assess the market viability of new product offerings and features
- Provide people management and development to the product marketing team to enable the team to professionally grow and do their best work. Hold the team accountable to goals, deadlines, etc.
- Provide feedback and coaching to the product marketing team members regularly and through the performance review process
- Develop the team through trainings, learning and development opportunities, etc. and drive employee engagement
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- College Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters, especially MBA, preferred
- Successful leadership track record, managing teams and/or functions
- 7+ years of proven experience developing high-quality product and solution level content for B2B audiences or equivalent work experience
- Experience working cross-functionally, especially with marketing disciplines and sales initiatives
- Demonstrated record of successfully packaging and shipping the results of high-quality projects with independence and confidence
- Track record of influencing behavior at all of levels in the organization, including cross-functional leaders and the executive suite
