Director, Customer Marketing

This is a remote based position.


What You'll Do:


The Director of Customer Marketing will develop strategies and lead a set of activities that drive product adoption, retention and engagement within the TIBCO customer base. He or she will work closely with sales and customer success teams on planning and prioritization.


  • Participate in reinventing our customer marketing strategy and support the day-to-day operations and programs
  • Work with marketing, customer success, sales, services and support to identify retention and engagement opportunities within the customer base
  • Develop and lead a set of activities to drive retention, loyalty, advocacy, growth and community participation with current customer base
  • Build the cross-functional processes and programs to support customer marketing initiatives
  • Manage customer contact process and frequency to prevent disjointed or too-frequent requests for participation and communication
  • Oversee database of existing customer accounts and the key roles within them
  • Provide data and insights on existing strategic customer accounts
  • Measure the impact of customer marketing activities on customer growth, retention and financial outcomes, and communicate these impacts within the organization
  • Partner with product marketing and sales enablement to create sales tools for the customer audience
  • Educate sales on the role of customer marketing within existing customer base
  • Help to build, develop, and lead a growing team to achieve dynamic business objectives


Who You Are


  • 8+ years experience in a customer marketing role in an Enterprise software environment
  • Understanding of best practices in customer marketing
  • Willingness to learn and work in a growing customer marketing team
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills to maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Energy and passion for teamwork and collaboration in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Detail oriented and strong ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills that allow you to communicate at all levels of an organization
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com, Marketo, and Seismic, a plus
  • BA/BS degree preferred
