Lead Product Marketing Manager - Checkout

Context


Decathlon Digital is focused on building user-centric experiences to support Decathlon's high business growth ambitions, including checkout, payments, order management, fulfilment, invoicing, promotions and pricing. These capabilities span across all our e-commerce channels world wide, running on multiple platforms. We are seeking a talented Product Marketing Lead to lead the go-to-market strategy for our checkout and payments capabilities while helping our product teams shape the right solutions for our end-users globally. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including product management, local markets, digital strategy, design, engineering, data and our treasury team to develop and execute effective product launch plans that drive user adoption and revenue growth.


Product Marketing


Product marketing is all about bringing the right product to the right users in the right markets. PMMs are responsible for the global product go-to-market success of their products through continuous iterations as well as representing the voice of the end-user in our digital product organization. This person will have a knack for taking complex products, distilling them, and understanding where their value lives. They will have a talent for knowing who their audience is and how to meet their needs. We create amazing solutions to move people through the wonders of sport and we want a Product Marketing Lead that helps us define & launch the best checkout experiences globally.


Your Core Responsibilities


  • Conduct research and analysis for our checkout and payments solutions including user needs, market sizing, business cases and competitive analysis in collaboration with UX & local teams
  • Influence Product Strategy by acting as the voice-of-the-customer to the wider product team, providing qualitative and quantitative insights to inspire, lead and challenge the product direction.
  • Collaborate with central and local teams, to define and orchestrate your product go-to-market strategy including roll out plans, positioning and messaging
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the commercial success of your product launches (Conversion Rate, Traffic, AOV, TO, Ecom Market Share, Profit)
  • Partner cross functionally with CRM, communications, marketing and country teams to develop product training, content and campaigns that carry product messages to customers.
  • Identify external partnership & co-marketing opportunities to help us acquire new customers through payments

Your profile


  • Minimum of 5 years experience in product marketing working closely with product teams to take products to market and optimize them throughout the lifecycle
  • Experience building, executing and scaling product marketing strategies from definition to completion
  • Strong analytical skills - ability to analyze, interpret and leverage data to identify new business opportunities and define new KPIs to measure and report success
  • Excellent communication skills - able to distill sophisticated ideas into clear, compelling value propositions demonstrating product benefits and capabilities
  • Advanced commercial awareness and product understanding - deep understanding of how our business and markets operate as well as of the product development process to help shape or iterate product business models
  • Problem solving skills - passion for solving problems creatively, starting small, failing fast, and applying your learnings
  • Stakeholder management - experience partnering, influencing and aligning with multiple stakeholders across different functions, levels and markets
  • Strategic thinking - ability to balance long-term vision with short and medium-term goals
  • Adaptability - ability and willingness to engage in a fast-moving and international environment
  • Passionate about sports
