General Summary:

The Product Marketing Manager, Team Lead manages a team of three product marketing managers responsible for

conceiving, developing and maintaining innovative integrated go-to-market strategies that drive demand in assigned

markets. This player/coach will build positive relationships with their PMM colleagues and will be responsible for

driving the overall success of their portfolio of products. They will also create the integrated go-to-market strategies,

which will include developing effective messaging, obtaining market intelligence, building sales enablement, and

delivering compelling assets for their assigned business unit. This role requires product expertise, influence, business

and marketing savvy and close collaboration with stakeholders across marketing, product management,

partner success, and sales teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Coaches, mentors, and drives product marketing colleagues to success in their functional areas
  •  Responsible for success of their assigned product line(s) in the market
  •  Determines and drives GTM direction and strategies that drive demand in assigned markets
  •  Leads cross-functional teams for successful GTM outcomes
  •  Drive the end-to-end planning processes and core priority setting.
  •  Work across the organization and company to drive outcomes, align with business owners and stakeholders,
  •  mitigate risk, and deliver value to our internal and external customers
  •  Product subject matter expert interface to all sales, marketing, community, and consulting teams
  •  Develop and manage the positioning and messaging for the product expansion strategy in new markets
  •  Identify customer needs, oversee market research, and monitor market trends and competitive landscape
  •  Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the ales tools that support the selling process of ConnectWise’s products
  •  Management of market persona mapping and intelligence – Be the expert on buyers, how they buy and their
  •  buying criteria; be an expert on competitor weaknesses
  •  Initiating and fostering relationships with development, sales, marketing and other groups to create new  products or enhance functionality of existing products or product lines
  •  Technical Product Marketing - Craft overall messaging, message matrix and positioning for internal  organizations
  •  Enablement Resource for Internal Training and working with Education on training material messaging and  content
  •  Active participant in thought leadership blogs and whitepapers

  •  Ability to define and create use cases, detailed personas, key themes, customer lifecycle messaging,
  •  differentiated value propositions and ROI, and sales enablement readiness in partnership with other product marketing managers, product management and sales teams.
  •  Strong business awareness and acumen

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 4+ years of job-related experience in roles such as marketing or sales, evangelism, program management, or product management within a mature/growing software organization

Working Conditions:

  • Professional office environment
  • 20%-40% global travel may be required
