Sr. Product Marketing Manager

Payable make it easy for companies to build great experiences without worrying about how to move money. We’re designing tools and infrastructure to simplify how companies send, receive and reconcile payments!

As our first product marketer you will work closely with our CEO to define and shape Payable’s brand and product positioning and make it the definitive Payment Ops Platform.


The Role

We’re looking for an ambitious creative individual to shape our organic marketing efforts. You will be part of the product development cycle, understand the voice of our customers and bring it to life through compelling written content, visual storytelling and other marketing initiatives.

At Payable we believe that brand and content are strong forces. We care so much that even our CEO has a Youtube channel with 40k subscribers!

As our first marketer, you’ll own all facets of product marketing, from the 10,000-ft level (what’s our brand and messaging strategy?) to the 1-inch level (Does this API copy make sense?).

Here you will shape a startup’s brand, product, and make sure it reaches the right customers.


You will

  • Be part of the founding team, working closely with founders and design to define the future of Payable’s brand and positioning.
  • Champion Payable’s brand in the fintech space as the category-defining company in Payment Operations.
  • Ensure the Payable brand messaging, voice, and customer experience are consistent across all channels; including WebApp and API docs.
  • Define a short and long-term compelling content strategy, including blog, case studies, and video.
  • Own and evolve the brand voice for Payable by speaking to customers and conducting user-research.
  • Write compelling and engaging content that educates and attracts new customers, and tells our story behind the team and new product releases.
  • During your first three months, you will:
  • Have content featured in Tech Crunch and/or ship a major marketing initiative,
  • Defined Payable’s new brand, tone and messaging.


You may be a fit for this role if you:

  • Have experience of several years in product marketing and understand how to interact with customers and gather user feedback.
  • You have a strong experience growing a B2B company’s brand, and making sure it reaches the right customers.
  • You are a passionate content creator and storyteller, with stellar copywriting skills.
  • Have the ability to work in an agile and fast-paced team.
  • Years of experience working in fintech, is a plus not a must.
