Zignal is seeking an experienced, polished, outbound-focused Marketing Director, Public Sector to create product collateral & sales tools, complete competitive analyses, and support our government direct sales force with the tools they need to succeed. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer for the company, this role bears primary responsibility for ensuring that our sales teams are supported with all the knowledge and tools needed to compete effectively and close opportunities. Experience working with business/customer intelligence and/or artificial intelligence systems is a plus, as is experience launching new categories in the B2B SaaS market. Prior experience working in sales - such as as a Solutions Consultant or Sales Engineer - is a plus; regardless, sensitivity to the sales function is critical. A deep understanding of media, traditional, broadcast, and social, is ideal, but not required. This is a perfect role for a hands-on individual who enjoys working cross-functionally to drive completion of projects.


Responsibilities

·      Understand Zignal’s direct and indirect competitors across its various use cases, verticals, and personae; produce battle cards and other forms of competitive intelligence

·      Extrapolating from overall corporate and specific product positioning/messaging, drive Public Sector industry messaging.

·      Clarify the benefits of Zignal solutions for Public Sector uses cases

·      Translate technical and functional capabilities of the Zignal platform into business/customer benefits

·      Drive sales enablement of the Zignal Public Sector sales team

·      Conduct win/loss surveys of our Public Sectort customers/prospects, and crystalize the key differentiators that enabled successful sales

·      Serve as an expert for the sales team on competition and on Zignal’s product capabilities, and provide help for RFPs and other special selling situations

·      Document how our Public Sector users are using Zignal for use in case studies and the like

·      Represent Zignal at select marketing events & sales opportunities.


Requirements

·      5 years of successful and progressive work experience in Public Sector marketing for B2B SaaS solutions, ideally with experience in data analytics, AI, and/or insight technologies

·      Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as marketing, business, computer science; graduate degree such as MBA a plus; Pragmatic Marketing Certified is a plus

·      Attention to detail and an eye for quality

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·      Ability to travel up to 20%

·      Comfort in a high-growth, start-up environment

·      Superior business acumen, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
