This role will involve creating marketing strategy and go to market execution for the Docker Verified Publisher Program. You will need to understand and successfully articulate the value of Docker Trusted Content and Secure Software Supply Chain to both developer and ISV audiences. This will involve a combination of the capabilities of the Docker platform, the needs and pain points of developers, and our tight partnerships with leading ISVs into a set of differentiated messages that target specific developer and publisher audiences. Success in this role will be measured by effectiveness of engagement with developers and ISVs, the growth of the Docker Verified Publisher Program , and developer and ISV satisfaction with Docker. 


Responsibilities

  • Develop product and positioning that brings to life the value of Docker Verified Publisher Program , and supported scenarios.
  • Work closely with the Docker sales and marketing teams to create specific messages and content aligned with business objectives and go to market activities. 
  • Build messaging around differentiated values of Docker Verified Publisher Program, Trusted Content, and Secure Software Supply Chain .
  • Partner with key technology companies (especially cloud partners and ISVs) to plan and execute joint marketing activities including campaigns, webinars, and messaging. 
  • Understand the developer journey for key audiences and translate this into digital journeys in partnership with other marketing and product stakeholders. 
  • Engage with Docker developers and ISVs to understand the customer pain points, aspirations and requirements and translate them into messaging and narratives.
  • Represent Docker at major events and conferences, including speaking and supporting Docker technology. 
  • Understand and address any barriers to consumption of Docker technologies for developers and developer teams.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science or equivalent in a related field. (MBA strongly preferred)
  • 5+ years creating product messaging and go-to-market activities focused on cloud native developers (SaaS and Security product marketing strongly preferred)
  • Experience of working with technology and services partners to create joint messaging and go-to-market activities.
  • Track record of effectively partnering with multiple stakeholders, especially product management, engineering and demand generation teams.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate in a remote-first environment. 
  • Experience in translating complex technical product details into customer-facing messaging.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Understanding of the unique needs of developer audiences from a peer-to-peer perspective.
  • Experience working closely with ISV partners on joint go-to-market activities
  • Experience in contributing and participating in open source software communities. 
  • Passion for and experience with developer communities
  • A strong track record of creating and delivering content marketing assets on time against aggressive schedules (white papers, solution briefs, case studies).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to both developers and technical decision makers.
