Senior Product Marketing Manager

Laika (heylaika.com) combines modern technology with expert support to help SaaS companies manage security compliance, security audits, and enterprise procurement security diligence. 


We were founded in May 2019 and have received investment from top VCs, including Canapi Ventures, Bain Capital, Third Prime, and Nyca Partners. We raised $10M Series A in June 2020, and we’re growing customers and revenue like crazy, poised for break-out growth over 2021.


About this role

Laika’s product evangelist! Develop and own the story of Laika’s solution and product in the marketplace. 


  • Own the messaging & positioning of Laika’s products and services. Clearly articulate how we solve our customer’s pain points. 
  • Work closely with product managers & sales to translate product strategy and developments into use cases, value props, talking points, and collateral, both pre- and post-sales.
  • Conduct competitive and market research to develop strategic insights and competitive differentiation that resonates with prospects and customers.
  • Collaborate with demand gen to develop go-to-market strategy for new products and features. Help demand gen build innovative and compelling campaigns to drive awareness of Laika, and strategically position various products and features.


Job requirements


  • 5+ years of relevant experience in product marketing, strategy, or growth marketing
  • Expert storyteller & copywriter; will need to see examples of work product
  • Pro researcher, able to conduct thorough market and competitive research
  • Cross-functional, diplomatic collaborator
  • Strong organization skills
  • Data-driven


Nice to have requirements:


  • 2+ years in B2B SaaS strongly preferred
  • Experience in information & cyber security or IT-related fields
  • Direct experience writing website & digital ad copy 
  • Familiar with marketing & sales automation tools such as Hubspot, Salesforce, Google Analytics


What you can expect your first 90 days


  • Within your first month, you will learn. Interview and work with marketing, sales, customer success, and product to understand the buyer and customer’s journeys, how Laika solves various pain points, and our current position in the marketplace.
  • Within your second month, you will develop and organize internal resources as the central source of truth for Laika’s product and services positioning and messaging.
  • Within your third month, you will start to work with sales, marketing, and customer success to develop prospect and customer-facing collateral.


Compensation 


  • Compensation range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000 and will be based on experience and skill set
