Senior Product Marketing Manager

We are seeking a data-driven, strategic Senior Marketing Manager who will be responsible for helping to drive the success of Mailchimp products and solutions in the global market. This will include developing a deep understanding of Mailchimp customers and prospects, products and technology, the overall market, key vertical markets and segments, and the competition. By applying for this role you will be considered for opportunities across our rapidly growing marketing team, including but not limited to product efforts in the marketing automation, marketing analytics products, email, channels,  spaces. You will work closely with all other marketing functions and product management to accurately position Mailchimp solutions in the marketplace and define go-to-market strategies that will accelerate growth globally.

What you'll do here: 

  • Build a deep understanding of our customers, the market, vertical markets and the competition across all the regions in which Mailchimp does business
  • Become proficient in our global customer segmentation, high-value target audience, use cases/scenarios, and buyer personas
  • Build positioning, targeting, pricing, and messaging for relevant segments and audiences
  • Define clear ideal customer profile/s based on compelling customer pain points, value propositions, competitive differentiation, and customer success stories
  • Maintain up-to-date the buyers’ journey and jobs-to-be-done, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make
  • Lead the commercialization of mid-market product portfolio based on market, product and customer insights, and the size of growth opportunities for prospects and existing customers
  • Collaborate cross functional go-to-market teams across product, sales, strategy, customer success/support, monetization and marketing to drive alignment and advance GTM plans forward and drive business growth 
  • Partner with the broader Marketing organization to refine GTM plans and take them into execution, prioritizing efforts that drive the highest impact including but not limited to eBooks, webinars, educational tips & tricks, in-app messaging, guides, product videos, customer success stories, blog posts, infographics, etc. 
  • Deliver monthly business reviews that showcase opportunities and gaps from the prior month and recommended adjustments to ensure success the following months
  • Work with the product management team to uncover new markets and use cases, define new offers and influence roadmap decisions
  • Lead and develop a growing team of product marketing managers
  • Validate hypotheses through customer insights, data analysis, and testing
  • Monitor competitive activities, identifying gaps and opportunities

We would love to hear from you if: 

  • You have 8+ yrs experience in mid-market, B2SMB or B2C product marketing in the Martech, SaaS, cloud or mobile technology industries
  • Proven ability to create go-to-market positioning and strategies and to create and position unique solutions for different customers
  • Proven track record of shaping product roadmaps and user experiences through deep consumer understanding, actionable insights and sound recommendations
  • You have experience in creating compelling messaging for different segments and personas
  • Ability to craft compelling stories, collateral, and tools around technology products and services for both business and technical buyers
  • You are an experienced marketer that understands how to use the full marketing toolkit
  • Technically savvy and intellectually curious about new technologies and how they work to enable new customer solutions
  • Avid learner who has experience learning new markets and industries and devising solutions and marketing strategies to reach those markets
  • Strong teaming skills and experience to bring together diverse views
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
  • Strong creative, problem solving, and strategic thinking abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work to drive results on-time and with high quality
  • Exceptional critical thinking, analytical, and quantitative skills
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams
