Senior Product Marketing Manager

Remote Boston, MA

We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager, reporting to the VP of Marketing, along with a Head of Digital Marketing, a Head of Content, and a Head of Field Marketing & Events. 

 

Responsibilities

About the Role

As the Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will synthesize market, consumer, product, and competitive inputs into driving the highest possible revenue for the business.

The role involves performing activities such as product pricing, product strategy, and analysis, product positioning to target consumers, sales messaging development, competitive analysis, and product differentiation among others. The role of the Senior Manager is a collaborative role and incorporates some sales enablement activities, for example, the creation of sales tools, communication, and training.

You must have a strong understanding of our audiences of enterprise and mid-market Customer Marketers, Community Managers, Advocacy practitioners, and CMOs. You enjoy working with sales leaders to understand the needs of the sales team, and meeting those needs through crisp messaging, precise positioning, and convincing sales tools such as battle cards, sales decks, etc.

Main Responsibilities

In this product marketing role, you will be required to study and attain complete know-how of customer needs; so you can translate consumer needs into product requirements working with product management and development teams. This will include the following:



  • Develop and record GTM strategy for new products or news-worthy features
  • Coordinate release and installation of marketing and promotional activities at product launch
  • Enhance product definition and positioning using competitive information, market, and product analysis
  • Support sales and market through sales tools, training, and market expertise to ensure their ability to effectively position and sell products
  • Identify all launch activities and ensure requisite tasks are assigned to responsible parties.
  • Ensure to complete all tasks to meet project milestones
  • Facilitate market research approach, methodology, and integration of findings into product marketing department driving organizations go-to-market approach
  • As Crowdvocate’s offering evolves and grows, recruit and develop a team of product marketing professionals having the same company’ values, innovation and fit with our culture
  • Search and screen new opportunity areas by analyzing company technology, customer requirements, workflows, market trends, and competitive gaps
  • Develop and maintain relations with customers to understand their needs well
  • Translate customer needs into direction and features to ensure continuing product working with engineering and research
  • Merge data driven market understanding with customer feedback to prioritize GTM strategies

What Will Success Look Like



  • Quarterback the go-to-market process by leading, executing, and overseeing product launches
  • Create compelling content to educate, enable sales, engage and delight customers
  • Craft value-based positioning and messaging frameworks and mentor the team to flex their storytelling muscles
  • Drive the vision and strategy for product development by managing customer and market insights and telling a compelling product story
  • Collaborate with the sales team to build a world-class sales enablement program
  • Maintain a constant stream of communication between the Product, Sales, CS, and Marketing teams
  • Drive the voice of Crowdvocate: collaborate with the rest of the marketing team on integrated marketing programs to drive market awareness and generate sales growth

Qualifications

Key Requirements:

You will be an experienced product marketing leader with excellent product marketing execution skills and expertise. You will require:



  • 6+ years of Product Marketing experience, launching products for fast-paced tech companies and managing teams
  • Have seen enough product teams, product launches, campaign tracking, sales enablement programs, and videos to do product marketing work in your sleep. Now you want to help scale a company and a team
  • Have a proven ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Are a self-driven doer who can both take direction and lead, to drive results with direct and cross-functional teams
  • Are a master of the art of positioning and messaging and love to teach others how to crack the code
  • Have exceptional planning, organization, and project management skills
  • Have a demonstrated ability to create engaging sales enablement content
  • Have an excellent track record of creating high-quality marketing collateral, across multiple channels
