Senior Principal Product Marketing Manager or Product Marketing Director

Hi, I’m Dave Wilt, Head of Product, Technical and Customer Marketing at Puppet.


I’m looking for a Senior Principal Product Marketing Manager or Product Marketing Director to join a high-performing, fast-moving, and fun-loving team that is redefining Secure Infrastructure Automation. 


With responsibility for how Puppet helps companies DELIVER on and OPERATE secure infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in a new chapter for Puppet, a cross-functional leader of initiatives and programs across Marketing, Sales, Services and Product.


This is an individual contributor role with an opportunity for growth into management for the right candidate.


You will…
  • Uncover, distill, and message to the business and technical challenges of key personas in application delivery, developer self-service, security/compliance, infrastructure engineering, and operations .
  • Monitor trends, competitive moves, and buyer alternatives including “do-it-yourself” and “do nothing”
  • Connect dots between macro trends within our customer practices to develop unique points of view that inform Puppet’s marketing and sales motions
  • Partner with Sales Enablement to equip sales with the knowledge and assets they need to effectively position the differentiated value of our solutions
  • Build and deliver presentations to prospects, customers, and analysts 
  • Partner with Demand Generation, Field Marketing, Sales Enablement and Sales Leadership to co-design integrated campaigns that convert all stages of the funnel
  • Partner with Product Management to translate new capabilities into customer-centric value propositions for launches
  • Develop buyer- and seller-facing content for use cases, products, and services

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in B2B enterprise software product marketing roles
  • 3+ years in cloud infrastructure, application delivery or other familiarity with application stacks
  • Proven depth in one or more of the following: marketing to developers and/or engineers, upsell/cross-sell motions, demand generation, sales enablement
