Job Description:

As a Senior Manager, Product Marketing at WideOrbit you’ll be at the center of all discussions about how to market our products. You will work collaboratively with product development, sales, and marketing to incubate, grow, and optimize our products relevancy in the marketplace. You’ll ensure that the voice of the customer is reflected in product strategies and features, coordinating, and communicating across departments to assure the product is launched appropriately and transitioned out without issue.


Here is what success will look like:

  • Coach-Player Manager – Lead a team of product marketers. Hire, onboard, coach, and develop strong talent. Mentor your team and manage end-to-end go-to-market strategy for an entire product area by providing reviews, conducting regular 1-1s, and guiding your team through go-to-market decisions.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy and Product Positioning – Work with sales and product to develop a deep understanding of product market and competition to best position WideOrbit products to potential customers and existing clients. Create unique, compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products in the market.
  • “Voice of the Customer” – Based on your strong grasp of the media buying workflow, you will be the advocate for our customers, demonstrating your deep understanding of their needs while working closely with our sales and the product team. Keeping your finger on the pulse of the product development roadmap, you’ll ensure sales is educated on new features in each release.
  • Strategic Content – Partner with stakeholders and the marketing team to develop strategy and accompanying materials to drive product awareness and adoption, including presentations, case studies, client testimonials, whitepapers, emails, how to guides, product videos, and other marketing tools to drive awareness, education, and adoption of your products.
  • Communication – Evangelize the value propositions and proof points of your products via various outreach methods, such as newsletters, webinars, and other training sessions targeted at both internal stakeholders as well as our existing client base.
  • Sales Enablement – Ensure sales has the relevant materials they need to move prospects through the funnel and educate about additional products, including presentations, collateral, and proposal materials, and provide coaching to help them best leverage these materials. Provide competitive information to enable them to win.
  • Industry Research – Conduct research and maintain a library of relevant statistics on competitors and industry trends. Leverage this data to deepen industry knowledge and to reinforce our claims and positioning during our storytelling.

 

To thrive in this role, we’re looking for:

  • 6+ years of successful relevant product marketing in a media company or product marketing experience in B2B software or ad tech company
  • 2+ years’ experience managing and mentoring a small team of product marketing professionals
  • BA/BS in Marketing or related field
  • Strong understanding of the value of team culture, communication, and collaboration
  • Experience collaborating to develop collateral that distills product capabilities into engaging and compelling marketing messages that address customer needs
  • Previous experience working with remote and cross-functional teams domestically and internationally
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong stakeholder relationships that foster trust and that drive consensus decision making while successfully managing competing priorities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting at the executive level
  • A track record of demonstrating a strong work ethic, integrity, and personal accountability
  • Outstanding organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability and desire to work in an ever-changing environment
  • Strong research skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel

Location:

This position will be based in our San Francisco, CA or Lynwood, WA office. Telecommuting/Remote will also be considered.
