Product Marketing Specialist

Remote (Canada) Fredericton, NB

Position Overview


We are looking for a highly motivated and strategic Product Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will analyze market trends and the competitive landscape, and execute go-to-market strategies for our products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, customer success, and marketing, to drive awareness and adoption of the Introhive platform in the market.


Responsibilities:


Market Research

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and market dynamics. 
  • Identify key market segments, customer personas, and target markets for the product. 
  • Analyze market data to uncover opportunities for product differentiation and growth.

Competitive Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze competitor activities, including product offerings, pricing strategies, and marketing tactics.
  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) for the product compared to competitors.
  • Develop insights into competitive positioning and differentiation strategies and distill insights to cross-functional teams through battlecards.

Go-to-Market Support

  • Craft positioning and messaging for new product launches, incorporating your understanding of the market and competitive competitive landscape. 
  • Support content development for product launches including sell sheets, videos, and slide decks. 

Win / Loss Analysis

  • Conduct win-loss analysis to understand the factors influencing customers' decisions to purchase or not purchase the product.
  • Interview customers and prospects to gather feedback on product features, pricing, competition, and overall buying experience.
  • Analyze win-loss data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.


Qualifications:


  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a product marketing role and a demonstrated track record of driving growth, preferably in B2B SaaS.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or similar field
  • Strong organizational, writing, and storytelling skills
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to conduct market research, analyze trends, and synthesize information from multiple sources
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, collaborating with colleagues across product, sales, customer success and marketing
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, HubSpot, Asana, Salesforce 
  • Prior experience with competitive intelligence software such as Klue or Crayon would be considered an asset
