About the Role

As Product Marketing Specialist at Laika, you’ll work across our product management, marketing and sales, customer experience, and other teams to drive adoption and success for new products and features. This is an important role at a formative time in Laika’s evolution. Our product teams have an ambitious roadmap and we need your help to translate it into clear, compelling stories that get customers and prospects excited.

We’re looking for a driven, curious self-starter with proven experience bringing tech products to market with great stories. You don’t need to have had “product marketing” in your title to be a good fit for this role at Laika: we’re looking for someone who can think as a storyteller and as a project manager; someone who can bring people together and help them all tell a really good story. There is enormous room for growth in this role, and our ideal candidate is excited by the chance to take this chance and run with it.


What You’ll Do

  • Work with the Senior Product Marketing Manager to refine our launch tier framework and quickly take ownership of Tier 3 and Tier 4 product and feature launches
  • Develop an expert understanding of our markets, buyer personas, and Laika’s differentiated offer
  • Help product stakeholders develop audience-focused, value-driven stories for upcoming launches 
  • Create relevant product content to assist marketing, sales, and customer success teams to communicate each launch’s value proposition to its audience (depending on the launch, this may include writing blog posts, shaping panel or webinar topics, recording demo videos, creating slides for our sales pitch deck, updating and creating new 1-pagers, and more)
  • Organize and manage cross-department project groups to plan and execute on integrated go-to-market strategies for product and feature releases
  • Together with the product team, train marketing and sales stakeholders on each new product and feature release including value propositions and competitive positioning
  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to build and execute customer communications plans for new products and features to drive adoption and generate references


Required

The ideal candidate for this role:

  • Has 2-3 years of experience in a relevant role–product marketing experience is nice, but not required
  • Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills–you’ll be constantly developing and communicating ideas both in writing and in presentations
  • Thinks as a storyteller, and can show examples of how they translate complex products/concepts into solutions and outcomes and then communicate that value to relevant audiences (writing samples, data sheet/case study portfolio, etc.)
  • Has a knack for project management and is detail oriented–this role is inherently collaborative and requires you to work across functions to bring our product to life


Nice to have

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Experience in the compliance and/or cybersecurity industries 
  • Experience in a fast-moving, rapidly-growing B2B SaaS startup environment
  • Experience in product marketing 


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range for this position is $80,000 to $85,000 USD, based on experience and skills
