Product Marketing Manager, Verticals

We are looking for an exceptional Product Marketing Manager, Verticals to take the lead in bringing Clickatell’s vertical solutions to market with specific emphasis on the U.S. You will be a product champion, owning and executing a broad set of marketing activities including go-to-market, content definition and creation, sales enablement, and more. The Product Marketing Manager, Verticals will play a key role in creating and communicating the positioning, value propositions and messaging for all of Clickatell’s vertical solutions and the relevant products for those verticals.

You are an analytical, creative, and action-oriented self-starter with strong communication skills. You are passionate about aligning ground breaking mobile and payment technologies with the business needs of enterprise customers worldwide. And you like challenges, a focused and fast pace work environment, and collaborating across teams to meet and exceed your goals. The ideal candidate would have experience with enterprise software product offerings and ideally have experience marketing solutions to one or more vertical markets including retail, travel, education, financial services, technology, health and wellness, and/or education.

This position reports to the Vice President of Product Marketing, and is located in the US.


  • Define target vertical segments; Research and deeply understand vertical markets for our products including understanding the ideal customer profile, buyer personas, their business challenges, and specific use cases for our products
  • Develop solution positioning and messaging for vertical markets
  • Own and create all vertical specific sales tools (sales decks, brochures, case studies, etc.) in collaboration with the marcom, channel, and web marketing teams
  • Work closely with other product marketing managers to ensure new product capabilities and products are integrated into vertical messaging
  • Partner with vertical sales and enablement teams to understand the adoption of messaging in the market, sales cycle/deal flow, and refine accordingly; Recommend pivots in vertical focus, go to market strategy, approach, and messaging based on learnings from customers
  • Act as solution domain expert through presentations & demos to customers and at events
  • Drive compelling storylines for our products and solutions in each vertical
  • Be an expert with respect to the competitive marketplace for specific verticals
  • Conduct vertical-based research and analysis in support of Clickatell’s brand, product, solution, and sales initiatives; Conduct surveys and analyze data on the buying habits of customers, demand, growth potential and future trends

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, industry/vertical marketing or marketing working in a technology company
  • Demonstrable experience in launching new B2B products and solutions into vertical markets preferably technology based and to global audiences
  • Track record of assuming leadership roles and of driving initiatives in a cross-functional, fast-moving environment
  • Experience in product marketing to one or more of our target vertical markets including retail, travel, education, financial services, technology, health and wellness, and/or education.
  • BS degree in marketing, business or technology field
