Position Summary: 

At Truckstop.com Product Marketing is focused on the success of our software solutions throughout their lifecycle. From product ideation through retirement, this role will play a critical role in uncovering and articulating the value and opportunity presented by the product line they represent. Each Product Marketing Manager (PMM) will have the responsibility and flexibility to guide the commercial success of the product through close relationships with Product, Marketing and Revenue teams.   

Beginning upstream in the product lifecycle, Truckstop.com PMMs focus on key qualitative and quantitative research initiatives including competitive differentiation, goal setting and market sizing. During launch, our PMM team works with Product Management to establish clear, customer facing value and is responsible for the creation of effective go-to-market strategies for internal and external audiences. Once the product is established, our PMMs work closely with Revenue and Marketing teams to drive and measure demand generation, adoption, and retention for our products’ overall success.  

 

 Essential Job Functions: 

  • Lead market analyses through quantitative and qualitative research (market trends, win/loss data, competitive intelligence, market penetration) and communicate assessment and insights clearly and simply to all areas and levels of the organization to express the financial/non-financial benefits throughout the product lifecycle 
  • Identify and evaluate long-term opportunities based on Truckstop solutions and industry expertise 
  • Partner with Product Managers and others to align actionable product strategy and investment recommendations  
  • Lead cross-functional execution and planning for product launches, ongoing product promotion and scaled adoption efforts 
  • Partner with Voice of the Customer Team to gain insight into customer use of current products and identify new opportunities 
  • Collaborate with product management and marketing to develop product and solution positioning and messaging throughout the lifecycle 
  • Be the expert on the product functionality, key differentiators, and value to the target customer segment and personas 
  • Analyze and define key target segments and personas, customize positioning and messaging per segment 
  • Create market, revenue, and market share estimates for Truckstop solutions 
  • Establish and monitor product revenue, retention and adoption metrics and suggest course correction as needed to ensure product success  
  • Work with marketing team to deliver content, assets and tools including blogs, ROI calculations, whitepapers, webinars, web, social assets, presentations, speaking engagements, customer testimonials and case studies, screenshots, videos, and other market-facing materials  
  • Help drive sales enablement through training, presentations, and creating sales materials to drive demand and adoption of products 
  • Other work as assigned 

 Position Requirements: 

  • 3+ years in a product marketing role with a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing company 
  • Proven leadership of product initiatives through product lifecycle – ideation through retirement 
  • Proven skills in market analysis including market and revenue opportunity sizing 
  • Experience creating annual and product focused forecasts, and driving strategies to increase market share 
  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree a plus
  • Demonstrated Go-to-Market planning success 
  • Experience working within a software or SaaS provider strongly preferred 
  • Experience in transportation areas of the supply chain a plus 
  • The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with company senior leadership, colleagues, customers, and prospects, is essential  
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams 
  • Strategic and critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and thought-leadership skills 
  • Skilled at creating concise, visually appealing presentations for internal and external audiences 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Teams and understanding of CRM tools such Salesforce 
  • Up to 10% travel may be required upon return to traditional travel policies
