Product Marketing Manager

xtraCHEF is seeking a proven Product Marketing Manager to lead product marketing and user engagement for our growing startup.


In this critical, cross-functional role, you will work to unite the magic of our product with the needs and the expectations of our target market – the restaurant and foodservice industry. To do so, you will develop and deliver new products, marketing and sales enablement programs, as well as content and collateral to drive revenue, adoption and retention.


This role requires an intimate understanding of our target market, a deep understanding of our product functionality, and a proactive approach to educating internal and external stakeholders. Qualified candidates must have prior experience in market research and a strong track record of executing new product go-to-market strategies and crafting compelling user engagement narratives and tactics.


As a growth-stage startup, we do must be revolve around efficiently growing and retaining our customer base and increasing product adoption and value. The ideal candidate for the Product Marketing Manager position will be a self-starter who is ready to hit the ground running, is unfazed by uncertainty, and is stoked to join a venture-funded hospitality tech startup that is growing fast and gearing up for the next level.


This role will work closely with the Product, Marketing and Customer Success teams and will report to the Director of Marketing.

Leveraging a combination of machine learning, data science, and business intelligence, xtraCHEF provides the hospitality industry with the power of data and automation to streamline their supply chain.



What You’ll Do


This new role at xtraCHEF will require an experienced B2B product marketer who can easily switch gears between planning, coordination, execution, and analysis. Responsibilities of the role may include, but are not limited to, the following:


Work with the Product team and leadership to create a coherent and compelling story arc across the entire portfolio along with go-to-market strategies for each product


Formalize and build out the product marketing function and own the architecture of repeatable product marketing processes that can scale with our growth


Develop and implement go-to-market strategy for new product feature launches including collaborating on product branding, messaging, internal & external training, documentation and promotion


Develop and evolve core product marketing fundamentals; including messaging frameworks, value propositions and support creation of customer facing copy


Create product collateral such as website content, data sheets, solution briefs, thought leadership papers, and customer-facing presentations


Curate competitive intelligence program including feature deep dives, battlecard creation and maintaining a database of competitor intel


Support the efforts of the sales teams by building effective sales enablement tools and materials such as presentations, product information sheets, digital enablement tools, customer case studies and more


Oversee the development and implementation of user engagement and education content including in-app onboarding tutorials, tooltips, etc. using AppCues as well as tutorial videos, product documentation, etc.


Collaborate with sales and company leadership to develop and optimize product pricing to maximize revenue generation, sales conversions, and speed


Demonstrate deep customer knowledge and be the voice of the customer and voice of the buyer to functional teams


Collaborate with marketing team to contribute thought leadership content, social marketing, industry events, and to press and analysts

What You Offer


Bachelor’s degree


5+ years experience in a B2B product marketing role, preferably with SaaS experience


Strong Communication Skills – You must be able to distill complex information into differentiated narratives that diverse audiences can easily consume and understand. You are adept at communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and can easily translate these concepts into various media (One Sheeters, PowerPoint Presentations, Video Scripts


Cross-Functional Team Player – You must serve as a bridge between the Product


Empathetic Leader – Must be easily understand the challenges and the desires of all internal and external stakeholders, especially the customer, but also partners, developers, sales and success team members, etc.


Analytical & Insightful - Must be able to architect data collection and interpretation methods to identify opportunities to improve our process and/or our product


Organized & Efficient -- Must be organized and detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize and execute efficiently.


Practitioner of Positivity – Must possess a can-do attitude. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Can easily overcome changes and challenges.


Hospitality/Restaurant experience is extremely helpful
