Product Marketing Manager

Your Job Will Be:


The Product Marketing Manager will determine market needs and translate market intelligence and the competitive landscape into go-to-to-market product/solution launch and readiness plans. You will also collaborate on and contribute to the overall marketing strategy. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) who transfers this knowledge across the Product, Marketing, Sales and Client Services teams. Experience working for healthcare and specifically SaaS companies is required.


This role will support the Sales and Client Services teams with messaging and tools to position our solutions in a competitive market, materials to communicate the value proposition to our target audiences, and training to ensure complete understanding.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develop overall Marketing strategy in collaboration with the VP, Marketing based on the long-term product roadmap, aligned with Healthcare Bluebook’s purpose, vision and values, and shaped by market/industry intelligence.
  • Develop and deploy employer (DTE) lead generation strategy in partnership with Sales Leadership, Sales Ops, and Inside Sales 
  • Be the expert on our market (i.e., what our target audience(s) are buying and why) and the expert on our competition
  • Track competitive intelligence, manage competitive analyses, and share findings with internal teams on a regular basis related to our core solution(s)
  • Conduct market/customer research in conjunction with the product team to gather insights about target personas, buyer needs and the purchasing decision process for new products and features
  • Develop product positioning, value propositions and messaging that resonates with the buying audience(s)
  • Lead discussions on launch plan, pricing, promotion, and other activities for a new product launch
  • Create sales and client services playbook and materials that communicate the value proposition of all core products and support training for all internal teams
  • Develop go-to-market plans and marketing playbooks for new products and features for employers, brokers/consultants, TPAs, and partners and ensure successful implementation of the plans, on time and in collaboration with Product, Operations, Sales and Client Services


Work Experience and Background:


  • Bachelor’s Degree; desired
  • Proven ability to analyze and synthesize information and convert it into actionable product marketing plans and business cases
  • Strategic thinking to understand and map market opportunities and needs
  • High levels of organization, meaning the ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent, on time delivery
  • Ability to collaborate with many voices, including the VP, Marketing, Product team, the executive leadership team, Sales and Client Delivery and other key members of the organization
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to connect with small and large groups both internally and externally
  • Excellent writing and messaging capabilities to position solutions through succinct, compelling, well-written and descriptive stories and enablement tools such as presentations, one-pagers, and other tools
  • 10+ years marketing experience, preferably with 3+ years of product marketing experience.
  • Strong experience implementing marketing and communication strategies for a B2B company, specifically in healthcare, including development and implementation of a multi-channel marketing plan
  • Preferred experience working with Hubspot, Salesforce, and Outreach
