Product Marketing Manager - Cybersecurity

General Summary:

The Product Marketing Manager, Cybersecurity role is responsible for conceiving, developing, and maintaining innovative integrated go-to-market strategies that drive demand in assigned markets. This role will include developing effective messaging, obtaining market intelligence, building sales enablement, and delivering compelling assets. Additionally, it requires cybersecurity product expertise, business and marketing savvy and close collaboration with stakeholders across marketing, product development, customer success, and sales teams.

Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to build positive relationships throughout ConnectWise is crucial. The Product Marketing Manager, Cybersecurity will be the expert in buyer and user behavior and will transfer that knowledge throughout the sales, marketing, customer success, product management and development organizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Has the ability to develop innovative, integrated go-to-market strategies that drive demand in assigned markets
  • Has a thorough and deep understanding of the Cybersecurity Market and its submarkets
  • Identify customer needs, oversee market research, and monitor market trends and competitive landscape
  • Manage all marketing messaging and content for the ConnectWise product portfolio relative to assigned market
  • Sales enablement – Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of ConnectWise’s products
  • Monitor internal processes for efficiency and validity pre & post product go to market
  • Serve as a market expert for customer facing webinars and other market centric engagements, including public speaking
  • Management of market persona mapping and intelligence – Be the expert on buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be an expert on competitor weaknesses and how to crush them
  • Communicating and collaborating across departments the why, what and when so it can be positioned appropriately to the marketplace
  • Ability to do unified product demonstrations, delivering presentations to customers and prospects
  • Technical Product Marketing - Craft overall messaging, message matrix and positioning for internal organizations
  • Marketing activities - market and technical expert to support branding, product messaging, all Annual and Quarterly Marketing Plans   
  • Liaison into Community activities– market and technical participant for user groups, Nations events, tradeshows and roadshows
  • Translate technical capabilities into benefits and value proposition

  • Analyzing competitors’ strategy, including a deep understanding of competitors’ product portfolios

  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically
  • Ability to work in a rapid pace environment with multiple and shifting priorities
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Ability to define and create use cases, detailed personas, key themes, customer lifecycle messaging, differentiated value propositions and ROI, and sales enablement readiness in partnership with other product marketing managers, product management and sales teams
  • Relationship management and development with stakeholders and sponsors within the ConnectWise Product Teams, Revenue Organization, and Services Organization
  • Strong business awareness and acumen

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and MBA preferred
  • Cybersecurity SaaS experience preferred5+ years of job-related experience in roles such as marketing or sales, evangelism, program management, or product management within a mature/growing software organization

Working Conditions:

  • Remote Work, or Hybrid work if based out of Tampa, Boston, Salt Lake City
  • Professional Office Environment
  • 20%-40% global travel may be required
  • Remote OK with occasional travel to Tampa HQ required
