Product Marketing Manager at Profitable, Mission-Driven Startup

We operate at a meaningful scale, but we’re still small relative to the commercial and social good opportunities in front of us--and a single motivated individual can still have a substantial impact on the trajectory of the company. 


Our team of 50+ is located in 18 U.S. states: team members work from home (or anywhere else they like!) and we have a beautiful office in Washington, DC that team members can use whenever they want. We're expanding the team to support our continued growth and we’re looking to hire exceptional, diverse candidates.


We are looking for a dynamic product marketer to drive home the value of our technology to existing and potential customers. As the first product marketing hire, this person will play a fundamental role in shaping how product marketing is done at GiveCampus. You will inspire schools to invest in and fully leverage our fundraising products by partnering closely with Business Development and Product teams to define product value propositions, messaging and positioning, and pricing models, and to educate internal and external audiences on product features and their benefits.


The product marketing manager will define the overall product marketing strategy, develop sales enablement and product-focused content, and drive the awareness required for our sales and marketing engine to boost revenue. This role will report to the Vice President of Marketing and work in close partnership with Product, Partner Success, and Business Development.


As a product marketing manager, you will:


  • Research and develop key buyer personas for the GiveCampus platform to help the entire go-to-market team better understand the prospect and partner lifecycle
  • Deeply understand the buyer’s journey and how marketing can use its content and storytelling to help educate prospects and ultimately accelerate deals through the pipeline
  • Help drive the overall messaging and positioning of GiveCampus across multiple marketing channels
  • Own competitive analysis and use your knowledge of the competitive landscape to build impactful sales tools
  • Partner closely with the product team to ensure awareness and alignment of the marketing content and campaign calendar with product roadmap and overall vision
  • Manage the components of all product launches in collaboration with other cross-functional teams to ensure the successful go to market of new products, features, and/or capabilities
  • Team with the Partner Success team to understand use cases and highlight partner success across all marketing channels
  • Create marketing content such as case studies, data sheets, blog posts, webinars, event presentations, and more to drive sales enablement and thought leadership at GiveCampus


You have:


  • A passion for working at a mission-driven organization to advance the quality, accessibility, and affordability of education
  • 3+ years of working in a product marketing role at a B2B organization
  • Strong writing skills with experience creating marketing collateral, website copy, sales presentations, and other sales tools to support enablement
  • A passion for product, data, and communicating more technical ideas in an accessible way
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize initiatives while managing expectations in a fast-paced — but always fun — environment
