As Poka’s Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for telling the world (and company) the story of our product. You will be a liaison between the product team and the customer-facing teams, responsible for crafting and operationalizing messaging around features, benefits and differentiators. As the chief product evangelist, you will also be responsible for increasing awareness of the brand and the emerging “connected worker” solution category. This position will report into the VP Marketing based in our Montreal office.

Poka has been highlighted by Gartner in recent Hype Cycles as one of only ten solution providers in the Connected Worker category.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Support the development of go-to-market strategy for pricing, messaging, packaging, promotion and selling of our existing and emerging products
  • Create content (e.g. sales presentations, product videos, website copy, blog posts) to articulate the benefits of Poka
  • Evangelize Poka and the ‘connected worker’ category thought leadership content, blogging, influencer marketing, speaking engagements, and analyst relations
  • Speak and present both internally and externally to promote the Poka story. Draft and submit speaking proposals to relevant industry events
  • Together with the product team, educate both internal and external stakeholders on our product features and their benefits
  • Assist sales on calls and in sales proposals when required to provide deeper dives into the product
  • Research and analyze market trends and competitors to keep us ahead of the competition at all times
  • Understand and represent the voice of the customer internally through customer interviews, win/loss analysis and case studies
  • Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage (e.g. supporting Poka’s Customer Success team through a coordinated customer communication strategy)

 

What you bring to the table

  • BA/BS degree in marketing, business or engineering
  • Past experience in SaaS product marketing and/or product management
  • Experience leading or supporting at least one full cycle product launch
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills --- there is a heavy amount of writing and presenting in this role
  • Thrive working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity. This role requires you to work across functions and departments to bring products to market, with a dotted line reporting into the VP Product Management
  • Experience in industrial software is an asset
  • Pragmatic Marketing, Sirius Decisions, Strategyzer or other similar training are highly desirable
  • We will consider applicants based across Canada with the option to work in our Montreal or Quebec offices
