You'll be the product evangelist, wielding your deep understanding of our competitors and buyers to craft compelling messaging that resonates, empowers sales, and drives demand through innovative marketing programs. Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies and establish product-market fit for new products.
  • Employ a strategic business mindset to lead market assessments based on customer insight and competitive intelligence.
  • Set strategic direction and evaluate pricing approaches across subscription and ad-hoc offerings to maximize business impact.
  • Own product launches. Work with various departments and stakeholders to establish repeatable release processes, define launch objectives and success metrics and manage cross-functional teams to ensure and track successful releases.
  • Guide the team on activating launch programs and scaling accompanying always-on campaign strategies, collaborating closely with the VP of Marketing.
  • Competitor analysis. Document extensive competitor research and brief internal teams on relevant competitor activity.
  • Educate consumer and client-facing teams (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Support, etc.) on new products/features and collaborate with these teams to ensure the value is clear across diverse audiences.
  • Help translate new feature releases into meaningful sales and marketing collateral, training videos, and knowledge base articles. Provide guidance on key content such as case studies, videos, website copy, and blog posts.
  • Lean into key differentiators and value drivers to drive messaging creation that resonates with each audience at various life-cycle stages.
  • Understand consumer behaviour. Working with the Product Management team, obtain insights into consumers’ usage of Alexa Translations, untapped opportunities, and buyer personas, through interviews, surveys, focus groups, and sales data.
  • Become the subject-matter expert on our target audience, creating segmentation frameworks, buyer personas, and prioritizing key jobs-to-be-done for the customer.
  • Build a culture of solid customer-centricity by grounding strategic decisions in insights and backing those up with testimonials and customer-first content initiatives.
  • Own your role as a strong, senior product advocate internally and externally across industry events and analyst relations.

 

Key Skills:

  • Collaborative skills: As a product marketing manager, you will have to collaborate with multiple teams across the business. This will often include business development, client success, and senior executives.
  • Communication skills: The ability to speak and write well is crucial. You will frequently have to present new products and write engaging copy, telling the ‘story’ of products for various marketing channels and audiences.
  • Research skills: Gaining insight into customer needs and experiences is a crucial part of being a product marketing manager. Data analysis, surveys, and customer interviews will be part of this mix; you need to be well acquainted with these techniques.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience advising and collaborating with UX designers, developers, and researchers.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of work experience, with 3+ product marketing in the B2B SaaS 
  • Product-led growth experience will be an asset
  • Proven leadership experience in your field 
  • Experience managing an annual marketing budget 
  • Strong marketing competencies across strategic planning, segmentation, positioning and messaging, content creation, and storytelling
  • Experience defining market requirements and assembling customer-centric requirements for Product Management teams
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, visual), both for internal audiences and customer-facing messaging
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated capabilities in interpreting data and qualitative research and distilling it into actionable key takeaways.
