Product Marketing Manager

Our Product Marketing team generates customer insights that inform Afterpay’s product strategy, lead go-to-market strategy, and create and execute campaigns to drive product growth. Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional role at Afterpay, partnering closely with Product and Engineering, Sales, Design, Content, Acquisition, and Communications teams. Our team works across the entire product lifecycle, from helping shape the product, to driving launch, to growing product adoption post-launch.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers through qualitative and quantitative research and behavioral analysis.
  • Keep a pulse on market trends and the competitive landscape. Report on competitor product evolution and positioning. 
  • Partner with Product to develop product roadmaps that meet user needs and differentiate Afterpay from competitors
  • Develop product positioning and messaging informed by research, insights and product understanding. 
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and drive launches for new products and features. Collaborate with product managers, marketing channels, sales, design, PR and engineering to execute launch plans flawlessly.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing products and features.
  • Evaluate products using relevant KPIs and feedback from existing and prospective customers.
  • Translate technical benefits into benefits for the end user.
  • Craft and test messages across marketing channels (landing pages, ad campaigns).
  • Develop product education features and modules.



Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience that can span marketing, product marketing, product management, operational roles, or strategy consulting
  • At least 4-5 years of product marketing or go-to-market; experience working in technology, infrastructure, or platform companies is preferred
  • Experience working on product marketing throughout a product’s lifecycle Experience in B2B marketing and working closely with sales teams is preferred
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong verbal and written communicator, with the ability to synthesize a complex situation into a concise plan
  • Data driven and strong analytical skills
  • A team player who is accountable, proactive, and solution-oriented
  • Good at data analysis and willing to solve problems
