Product Marketing Manager

Searchspring is on a mission to give ecommerce teams superpowers. The Product Marketing Manager reports to the VP of Marketing and will collaborate within a team of six talented marketers. Right now, we're all distributed. Eventually, you will work from Searchspring HQ in San Antonio, TX.


The Role of Product Marketing Manager

It is the Product Marketing Manager’s job to increase the utilization of Searchspring. PMMs do this by properly positioning the product to the relevant users, facilitating product and feature go to market, enabling customer-facing teams with product information, and educating users to be sure they get the most value possible with Searchspring.


1. Product Launch and Go to Market

  • Partner with product and development teams to create technical and business level messaging for our product and new features.
  • Coordinate go to market plans for new products and features, including:
  • Coordinate the naming of new products and features.
  • Provide competitive feedback to understand how to best position new products or features.
  • Understand the market and customer voice to best message new features.
  • Coordinate internal product launches.
  • Coordinate external product launches.
  • Collaborate with the demand generation team on go-to-market strategy, providing positioning and messaging resources from which campaigns will be developed.


2. Sales, Partner, and CS Enablement

  • Produce sales and partner enablement material for sales teams on all current and new products - maintain these as the product evolves. These materials may include decks, product sheets, videos, and web copy.
  • Manage and produce product webinars and online demo assets.
  • Develop a partner certification program and produce required course materials.


3. Customer Education

  • Develop customer certification program and produce required course materials.
  • Manage and produce online customer events such as digital webinars or user groups.
  • Provide support for the onboarding teams.


Requirements

  • Ability to strategize product positioning and craft compelling messaging.
  • A strong project management skillset that enables communication across teams. Your job is to keep everyone engaged and going in the same direction through new product launches.
  • Experience coordinating with demand generation to direct promotional launches.
  • Background in SaaS, with ecommerce experience a bonus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
