Product Marketing Manager

Product Marketing Manager

As a Product Marketing Manager for Deltek Costpoint, you will be responsible for creating and developing the internal and external positioning of Deltek’s industry-leading project and financial management solution for government contractors. This role works in close cooperation and liaises with product management, marketing, external customers, and sales.


In this role, you will need to quickly become an expert on our solutions, the market, our customers, our competition, and be able to translate this knowledge into high-impact materials that clearly communicate the value of our products to the marketplace.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement positioning and messaging that clearly differentiates Deltek in the marketplace.
  • Develop and manage sales material creation including presentations, whitepapers, case studies, and other sales support materials.
  • Collaborate with the digital and demand center teams on website and other content to drive SaaS sales through clear, high-impact company and product information.
  • Develop vertical-specific content and materials to better reach target industries.
  • Communicate the value proposition of the Deltek solutions to organizations and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of our products.
  • Provide training on positioning that ensures the organization can internalize and clearly communicate our positioning and message.
  • Create high-impact internal sales tools and customer-facing materials that clearly communicate the value and unique advantage of our offerings including sales presentations, ROI calculators, needs analysis tools, scripts, letters, and positioning documents.
  • Through interpretation of market intelligence, become the expert on our buyers, how they buy, and their buying criteria.
  • Establish and maintain marketing relationships with key clients, partners, and analysts who are willing to be referenced for case studies and speaking events.
  • Collaborate with Demand Centers to develop the strategy for marketing programs that drive demand for the products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business, Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing or content writing capacity preferred.
  • Experience in storytelling and creation of differentiated product based marketing collateral and overall content (blogs, white papers, brochures, etc.).
  • Superior communication skills, team player attitude and highly motivated, self-starter.
  • Excellent grammar and professional writing skills.
  • Candidates must be willing to provide samples of their work product (such as, marketing collateral, presentations, or webcasts). Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office. Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization (with product management, corporate and demand marketing, and sales) with positive influence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of establishing credibility with key customers, prospects and business partners, sales, customer support and development.
  • Ability to travel up to 10-20% annually.
  • Must be a US Citizen

 

Other desired experience includes:

  • Product knowledge of business applications and ability to demo.
  • Knowledge of the Government Contracting industry
  • Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint
