We are looking for a highly motivated Product Marketing Director to join our organization. In this role, you will need to excel at cross-functional collaboration and work with product design/engineering teams, sales, and the marketing communications team. You will leverage your product knowledge and understanding of the market to successfully manage Sarcos Robotics’ day-to-day product marketing including product launches; your insight will also help drive our strategic product planning activities.

 

You will be responsible for executing in-field customer/product discovery, primary/secondary market research, competitive intelligence, product launches, go-to-market planning, knowledge sharing with key stakeholder teams, and the creation of effective customer-facing materials and sell-in tools to reinforce our value proposition.

 

To be successful you will be required to have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of industrial use cases, and have the ability to self-direct your work. You must be comfortable presenting to all levels of business management, including internal and external customers. In addition to possessing a strong desire to win and the ability to be proactive, we seek candidates who understand and embrace our core values.

 

Role/Responsibilities:


  • Partner closely with internal product/technology teams to ensure the strength of our products meets customer needs, addresses existing and emerging market-forces and competitive threats across the entire product life cycle
  • Proactively engage in customer discovery dialog with prospective customers to understand segment needs, pain points, purchase drivers, channel preferences, and adoption barriers; translate insights into go-to-market strategies and product requirement drivers
  • Direct primary and secondary market research projects to (a) size the market opportunity, (b) validate customer attitudes, (c) understand competitive threats, and (d) disseminate data to help the organization make sound product and business decisions
  • Develop clear, effective value propositions and messaging for each target segment and buyer personas in the buyer’s journey to enable the marketing communications team to drive effective lead generation campaigns to fill the sales funnel
  • Manage the creation of effective sales enablement and channel materials (pitch decks, product sheets, product videos, competitor battle cards, etc.)
  • Provide input to the design of all customer-facing materials and programs to enhance product usability, customer retention, and loyalty
  • Act as the public-facing SME for the company’s product portfolio at industry trade shows and customer meetings; help elevate product positioning through speakerships, social channels, and contributed articles

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree of engineering, information technology, marketing or business administration
  • 7+ years of experience in technology marketing and/or related industry experience
  • Experience managing outside agencies and working in a cross matrixed organization
  • Experience managing channels and customer loyalty/retention programs
  • Must be able to travel to customer sites, industry events, and to our headquarters (if working remotely)


Work Environment and Physical Demands:


  • Work is performed Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Safety awareness is absolutely essential at all times while in the work area
  • Must be able to stand and sit for extended times
