Product Marketing Director

About the Job


OffSec is seeking a talented and critical-thinking product marketing director (PMD) to be responsible for the positioning, messaging, and marketing strategy for the company’s cybersecurity learning management platform, learning library, products, and subscriptions. You’ll evangelize our value propositions and capabilities to customers and prospects, our direct sales team, channel and delivery partners with captivating content, tools, and programs that translate the highly-technical nature of our offerings into external-facing deliverables that resonate with our target audiences and personas and drives demand. 


Duties and responsibilities


  • Positioning & Messaging–In collaboration with Content and  Product Management, you’ll create the value story for our differentiated cybersecurity training, certification and continuous learning solutions. You’ll identify the challenges of our prospects and customers and articulate the value of OffSec’s capabilities and bring them to market in such a way that is compelling and “on-brand” for OffSec. Develop compelling positioning and differentiation and express it through informative and engaging content, presentations, campaigns and sales & marketing tools. 
  • Go-to-Market Strategy & Commercialization–In collaboration with Product Management, Content, and Sales, you’ll define, develop, manage, and iterate the GTM strategy and tactics for OffSec’s Learning Platform and Learning Library. In partnership with your Marketing colleagues, including the Product Marketing Manager, you’ll develop demand creation and generation campaigns that are informed by your deep understanding of our target audiences and key personas and their unique buyer journeys. You will also be empowered to lead cross-functional launches of new capabilities, content, product enhancements,  and solutions.
  • Sales & Buyer Enablement–Proactively create and deliver needle-moving sales- and buyer-enablement content, tools, and training to Sales and Channel partners that map to the buyers’ journey and ensure that all stakeholders have the information and content they need when they need it to help make well-informed decisions. You’ll become the primary resource for all competitive intelligence and insights by gathering, synthesizing, and making actionable competitor information for product development, positioning, and overall GTM strategy refinement. 
  • Report out on ongoing program and product launch campaign performance.


Qualifications


  • 7+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in the technology field; online or professional education/learning management system (LMS) experience is a big plus.
  • Product marketing certification (i.e. Product Marketing Alliance, Pragmatic Marketing) is preferred. 
  • Proven record of achieving product launch, campaign, and marketing program results.
  • Positive attitude, solid work ethic, responsiveness, and solid organization and communication skills.
  • Keen understanding of field sales needs, stages of the customer buying cycle, campaign metrics and analysis, and market intelligence resources.
  • Excellent writing skills to produce marketing and sales content, promotional messaging, website, and email copy.
  • Solid presentation skills and ability to present to leadership.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and creativity.
  • Bachelor's degree; graduate degree is a plus.


Working conditions

This role is a full-time salaried position. Work hours for this position are flexible and will be performed from a home office, preferably in the Eastern or Central U.S. time zones.


Direct reports

Initially, this position will directly manage one Product Marketing Manager.
