Product Marketing and Brand Manager

About the Role

As a Product Marketing and Brand Manager, you will lead marketing and design efforts for current and new products. You will also lead and drive the cove brand. You will work cross-functionally to ensure our team is aligned on the best way to communicate effectively about our great products and vision to a variety of audiences. Additionally, you will oversee efforts to define our brand and voice and support the execution of digital marketing for specific products. This requires a doer approach while managing and driving strategy — all at the same time!

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing visual and written content for our marketing needs from product positioning to brand guidelines to digital marketing. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Product Marketing Materials: Work across sales and customer teams to produce product-focused content to successfully communicate the value of our products and services. This will require active listening followed by quick action to create compelling visual and written content. Inclusive, but not limited to website, pitch decks, 1-pagers, white papers, and other marketing materials.  
  • Strategic Product Positioning: Get to know cove, our team, our product, our clients, and our vision. Align with and across our internal teams to drive & prioritize marketing content with internal team roadmaps, and determine positioning strategies for new and existing offerings. 
  • Brand and Copy: Develop templates, boilerplate copy, and other materials for internal use. Determine brand guidelines and brand voice for website and social media. Maintain social media content and channels to begin. 
  • Build for Growth: Create internal processes, guidelines, and strategies to meet our growing business needs. If needed, hire and manage additional team members and set the strategy for how Marketing contributes to our business goals. 

Qualifications 

  • 4+ years of experience with exposure to product marketing in a SaaS or B2B environment. 
  • Experience or interest in developing brand guidelines and defining a voice for a brand. 
  • Self-starter: experience within a startup environment or demonstrated ability to drive to results. 
  • An ability to translate complex concepts into awesome, simple materials.
  • Copywriting skills and strong verbal communication skills. 
  • Graphic design a plus but not required.
  • Experience managing contractors or third-party vendors for digital marketing and/or graphic design. 
  • Experience with Sketch or Illustrator is a plus but not required.
