Marketing Manager (20-168)

Summary: 

The Manager of Product Marketing helps to lead the marketing efforts around promoting the various solutions we offer and the entire Spok value proposition. Working with the Director of Clinical Marketing, he/she makes sure marketing strategy and product strategy stay in sync and helps to ensure marketing is supporting product targets for brand awareness, demand generation, content development, and overall sales support. Additionally, this role will serve as the primary liaison between the corporate marketing team and international sales teams, fostering a strong line of communication and information sharing between the stakeholders.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Work closely with the product management team to understand product roadmap, value proposition, and competitive position in the market
  • Create comprehensive product marketing plans to help launch new solutions and new releases to the marketplace
  • Create comprehensive product marketing plans to help promote upgrades and add-on solutions to customers
  • Closely track product line release schedules and manage product marketing plan schedule to drive completion of selected deliverables as committed
  • Collaborate with the entire marketing team to make sure the product positioning and messaging is consistent and the Spok brand is the strongest in our space
  • Collaborate with the content marketing team to equip the sales force with compelling product materials (videos, brochures, presentations) and ensure the content is continuously maintained and reflects the current state of all products and solutions
  • Develop and deliver compelling customer presentations related to the Spok product portfolio
  • Collaborate with marketing strategy/lead generation team to develop, execute, measure, analyze, and improve product lead generation
  • Collaborate on Web, social media, and countless platforms that not only promote the brand but also drive leads
  • Work with the marketing events manager to make sure trade shows, user conferences, and other events have the best possible product support
  • Work with public relations manager on product-related media outreach, press releases, analyst relations and customer focus groups – including user groups
  • Deliver Spok product presentations to customers and prospects
  • Serve as primary point of contact for international sales teams and work with Director of Clinical Marketing to determine which messaging, outreach, and assets best support the teams’ sales activities


Supervisory Responsibilities:

May provide oversight of freelancers; does not have supervisory responsibilities related to Spok employees.

Education and/or Experience: 

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and more than four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Required Skills and Experience Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of Product Marketing and/or Product Management related experience in healthcare industry
  • Hospital, Healthcare Information Technology or Health Information Technology experience
