Market Strategy Manager

Hi there!

We're looking for an expert Market Strategist Manager to join our Product Marketing team. We’re in the midst of hyper-growth and already serving the automation needs of a global community of 6.5 million professionals, but we’ve only scratched the surface of our nascent product category.

As a Market Strategist Manager on Zapier’s PMM team, you’ll be an architect of growth helping the business build a path to greater and greater fulfillment of our mission to democratize the power of automation. You’ll drive company-wide clarity on where in the market we have the right to win and how we should steer the company’s growth strategy for maximum impact.

Here are some examples of projects you might work on:

  1. Market analysis -- determining whether and how we should go about entering new markets or winning over new buyer segments
  2. Competitive intelligence -- assessing the strength of Zapier’s positioning vs. competitors and vice versa to identify key product and GTM investment areas
  3. Defining our sweet spot -- developing insights that clarify focus verticals and use cases where Zapier can best meet market demand

If you’re interested in driving your career at a fast-growing and profitable company, read on.

About You

You’re experienced. You have 7-8 years of experience, most recently in B2B SaaS. You have experience in management consulting, brand management, product marketing, or BizOps.

You've identified compelling market opportunities and advocated for customers to influence product development, and you’ve had clear success developing and owning the GTM strategy to launch and scale compelling products.

You’re a leader. You thrive in ambiguity. You have a natural talent for ingesting diverse stakeholder needs and loads of information in order to distill the most important priorities for you to work on and how to get them done. Driving high visibility, strategic, cross-functional projects end-to-end from vision to execution is your norm, not your exception.

You can read the market. You’re deeply familiar with competitive dynamics, market trends, and where there’s untapped opportunity in the market. You leverage this familiarity to develop positioning that sets your company apart and advocate for changes to marketing and product strategy.

You’re an outstanding communicator. Your voice is clear and persuasive regardless of the audience, channel, or format. You’re equally comfortable drafting written executive briefings, developing pitch decks, crafting external product messaging for our customers, and everything in between.

The Whole Package

Location: Remote. You're based in a timezone between UTC -8 and UTC -4.

Some team members live in the United Kingdom, Thailand, India, Nigeria, Taiwan, Guatemala, New Zealand, Australia, and more! You just need the skills and drive to succeed in this role and the ability to work from anywhere.

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary (we pay based on the norms of your country)
  • Great healthcare + dental + vision coverage*
  • Retirement plan with 4% company match*
  • Profit-sharing
  • 2 annual company retreats to awesome places
  • 14 weeks paid leave for new parents of biological or adopted children

  • Unlimited vacation policy. Plus we require you to take at least 2 weeks off each year. We see most employees take 4-5 weeks off per year. This isn't a vague policy where unlimited vacation means no vacation.
  • Work with awesome companies around the world. We partner with great software companies all over the world and you'll constantly get to interact with people from these great companies

*While we take care of our international folks as best we can, currently, healthcare and retirement plans are only available to US, Canadian-, and UK-based employees.

How To Apply

We have a non-standard application process. To jump-start the process we ask a few questions we normally would ask at the start of an interview. This helps speed up the process and lets us get to know you a bit better right out of the gate.

After you apply, you are going to hear back from us, even if we don't seem like a good fit. In fact, throughout the process, we strive to make sure you never go more than seven days without hearing from us.
