Director, AEM Product Marketing (Remote)

Do you feel energized by understanding complex market dynamics and enabling a value-driven buying experience for B2B customers? 

AEM, Earth Networks’ parent company, is looking for a highly motivated, results-oriented Director of Product Marketing to drive the success of a global suite of enterprise weather and environmental products within the AEM portfolio of companies. 

The successful candidate has demonstrable hands-on experience with product marketing in a B2B environment, including product positioning, competitive analysis, product launch activities and sales enablement. You should be both data-driven and a strong communicator, along with the ability to grasp and translate features into compelling value propositions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Intelligence: Lead our product marketing strategy through market analysis, competitive assessment, and segment definition
  • Product Positioning: Develop and refine positioning and messaging that highlights our differentiation
  • Packaging and Pricing: Refine the packaging of our product suite and optimize pricing strategy to maximize profitability and product usage
  • Sales Enablement: Define the value proposition to internal sales teams and ensure that the sales team has the resources, tools and support to convey our value proposition to prospects. Work with the broader marketing team to develop and maintain sales collateral that reflects our product positioning 
  • New Product Launch - Train and support sales and customer support teams on new products and services 
  • Product Roadmap: Collaborate with product management to define new features and solutions that address specific vertical business requirements 
  • Thought Leadership: Develop our thought leadership to articulate our differentiation and positioning to prospects, partners, and industry influences 
  • Marketing Support: Provide messaging and positioning to meet a variety of internal and external needs including press releases, web site copy and marketing campaign execution

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
  • 12+ years total experience
  • 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally within a company selling data or technology products
  • 3+ years of experience within the weather or environmental monitoring industry
  • Aptitude for technology and the ability to connect technical concepts with customer value
  • Strategic thinking and ability to define and pursue strategic objectives 
  • Ability to prioritize and differentiate what matters from the noise 
  • Ability to work with cross-functional groups within and outside the organization
  • Demonstrated experience developing product messaging, positioning statements, and value propositions
  • Ability to translate market and internal data into actionable insights
  • Strong analytical skills with a natural bias for measurement and metrics
