Roofstock is looking for an ambitious and data-driven marketing leader who can think big while rolling up their sleeves to get work done.  Our Director, Product Marketing will report to the Head of Marketing.  This leader has a passion for data and customers who will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Research teams to help shape product roadmaps across all lines of business – Roofstock’s Marketplace, Roofstock One, Stessa, Great Jones and our Enterprise business. The ideal candidate can think big, proactively identify/size opportunities for product improvements, and can work cross functionally in an ambiguous environment and commercialize their ideas. This manager will lead and existing team while hiring additional Product Marketers in accordance with our 2022 growth and expansion plans.  


What You Will Do:

  • Own holistic positioning of all Roofstock products and be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve product-market fit of existing products and the Roofstock brand at large 
  • Manage a team of Product Marketing Managers that individually own strategies to support their own business division(s)
  • Partner with leadership in Product, Engineering, Legal and Data Science to improve product roadmapping, infrastructure and synchronization of teams to produce better customer and business outcomes
  • Conduct analysis to identify product/marketing needs, opportunity sizing, gathering feedback from internal/external stakeholders, driving commercialization and measuring impact of product marketing strategies
  • Lead product messaging and positioning strategies that resonate with Roofstock’s target audiences
  • Partner deeply with cross-functional teams to shape new product roadmaps
  • Support roadmap prioritization by creating tight feedback loops that consistently seek to solve user pain points
  • Lead go-to-market plans individually and through their team for new products and features, focused on ensuring product development and feature release can be tracked back to support business goals
  • Gather qual/quant user insights and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement to existing products and features
  • Champion and build Roofstock’s market research muscle, scoping and building a market research sub-function
  • Perform market research and analysis to develop net new strategies that increase both supply and demand
  • Report out regularly on performance against KPIs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization
  • Mentor and coach other marketers and Roofsters to achieve business and career goals


What You Bring With You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Technical field; MBA Preferred
  • 10+ years working in progressively senior marketing roles
  • 5+ years of product marketing experience
  • Previous direct management of small-medium teams is preferred
  • Experience leading research as well as core PMM work, growing to manage a market research team
  • A natural curiosity to test, measure, learn and iterate to get the best results possible
  • Strong communication, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • A strong focus on results in the form of product conversion rates, engagement, CTRs, sales, etc
  • Team player attitude with good follow through
