We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Product Marketing to take the helm in setting product marketing strategy for an innovative new technology-based product and lead the related execution of go-to-market programs to accelerate growth.
This role can be remote in an approved US location. Preferred NY Metropolitan Area, San Francisco and Boston area.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute a comprehensive product marketing strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify and monitor customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with product management, customer success, sales, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and success of product marketing initiatives.
- Inform and guide the development and execution of go-to-market plans for product launch and future feature releases, including messaging and positioning.
- Collaborate with the content team to create compelling and relevant content such as whitepapers, case studies, and videos.
- Work closely with the sales team to develop sales enablement tools and materials, including sales decks, battle cards, and product training sessions.
- Develop strategies to drive customer engagement and advocacy, including customer referral programs, user communities, and customer feedback mechanisms.
- Manage in-product marketing strategies such as tooltips, pop-ups, and feature announcements to help educate users about the product's capabilities, promote new features, and encourage engagement.
- Utilize data-driven insights and user behavior analytics to identify trends and optimize go-to-market strategies, improve user experience, and drive product adoption and retention.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years in B2B SaaS product marketing with at least 3 of those years directly focused on PLG strategies. Direct experience with freemium models a plus.
- Experience in early stage businesses: from concept stage, through product-market-fit, and further scale and growth.
- Experience marketing to IT roles/personas preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
- Leadership experience and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams with demonstrable examples of success in driving marketing and sales alignment.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving business impact.

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $135,000 and $164,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
