SS&C is searching for an experienced Director of Product Marketing to join our global Product Marketing team. This person will lead global product marketing activity for our Private Markets and Hedge Fund segments and will have a key role in our success by consolidating our customer voice, creating effective positioning, and messaging to drive adoption and providing strategic direction and development of the go-to-market strategy. The Product Marketing leader will partner very closely with stakeholders throughout Sales, Marketing, Product, and other functional areas. As a part of the leadership team, you’ll bring big, bold, and different ideas to the table.

Reporting to the Global Head of Product Marketing, this is a Director role on an agile B2B marketing team with the opportunity to shape a key function with cross-functional exposure in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

What You Will Get To Do:
- Research and understand market, product, and competitive dynamics and socialize findings and recommendations with Sales, Product Management, and Marketing.
- Align closely with the growth marketing team on programs and content development initiatives including guidance on our content strategy and writing of assets such as blog, video, web demo, web content and social posts.
- Understand and document our offering definition, personas as well as customer journeys for each of our target segments: the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make and their value drivers. Then take action to improve marketing, sales, product, services, and customer success.
- Develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyer personas. Use this messaging to help us drive our global and regional marketing programs.
- Develop strong sustainable differentiation strategies across the competitive landscape and effectively communicate those differentiators in an engaging and impactful way.
- Work with customers to understand how they are getting value out of our offerings and reflect those insights into all marketing channels.
- Build, coach and mentor a team of high performing B2B software product marketers.
What You Will Bring
- 10+ years of experience in a product marketing role.
- 3-5 years working in the Private Markets, Alternative Investments, and/or Capital Markets ecosystems.
- Ability to effectively partner with all functions from engineering and product to sales and marketing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Successfully building and scaling foundational product marketing assets.
- Strong collaborator who partners with key stakeholders to deliver outstanding business results.
- Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
