BuzzBoard is looking for a Director of Product Marketing to build the foundation for the next stage of go-to-market growth and tell our story to the marketplace. The Director of Product Marketing will be responsible for the positioning, messaging, and pricing strategy.


As a seasoned B2B technology marketing executive, you will elevate our core messaging to help build awareness across medium to large sized organizations and for different use cases. You will articulate a clear, consistent, and differentiated value proposition in a way that effectively drives our go-to-market and demand generation engines. Finally you will be acting as the linchpin between our sales and product teams. This role will have a significant impact on the long-term growth of our business.


You should have a proven track record of delivering successful results in the same or similar position at another B2B software company.

What you will be doing:


  • Provide leadership for all product messaging, competitive analysis and positioning, product launch management, pricing, GTM strategy, sales enablement, and customer insights to inform strategic campaigns that help drive customer acquisition, retention, and expansion.
  • Lead the company-wide development of product messaging and positioning, including competitive differentiation across different customer segments.
  • Lead our packaging and pricing strategy to help drive adoption of new product capabilities and support new customer segments.
  • Help external industry analysts and influencers view BuzzBoard as a leader across the SMB intelligence category.
  • Lead the development of compelling and easy to understand internally facing content for Sales, Customer Support, Comms, and others including; sales training, positioning, FAQs, battlecards, and more.
  • Partner closely with the demand generation team to tell compelling stories that help build demand and drive revenue across our offerings and across the customer lifecycle.


What we're looking for:


  • 7+ years of product marketing experience at B2B software companies
  • 3+ years of management experience developing and mentoring direct reports
  • Prior experience in a strategy role, specifically around positioning, messaging, pricing, and competitive strategy
  • Deep experience in journey mapping and developing lifecycle marketing programs
  • Significant experience in B2B technology marketing
  • Extensive experience working with different performance tools and channels
  • Strong analytic skills and experience working with paid marketing channels and data
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into simple, clear and intuitive language
  • Customer focus, with a deep understanding of the product offering
  • Growth mindset, adaptability, and a drive for continuous improvement
  • Excellent collaboration and organization skills, excelling at both high-level thinking and execution as well as influencing and inspiring others to achieve a common goal
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
