Director of Product Marketing at a High-Growth, No-Code AI Startup

We are looking for a Product Marketing Director (based on experience) to join our scrappy, git-r-done marketing team. The Product Marketing Director will lead our product and client marketing strategy - building out messaging, positioning and collateral that elevates the customer voice, succinctly conveys What is and Why Accern, and supports both the sales and CS teams in closing, training and onboarding clients.


As a Product Marketer, you are a communicator above all else - you can take complex ideas and topics and break them down into language that is digestible by all, you understand the power of simple, clean, clear copy in the product (and you are not afraid to tell Product what you think), and you are masterful at communicating across departments, building relationships with CS, Product, Sales, Partnerships, Engineering - so that you are a trusted, integral cornerstone of the organization. And also, you don’t take yourself thaaaat seriously.



What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Work closely with Product and CS to understand product roadmap and upcoming features and releases that will need positioning, training, and collateral.
  • Create messaging and positioning around product and feature releases.
  • Work closely with CS to build product training programs.
  • Proactively work with Product to suggest product copy, copy improvements, and naming for new features.
  • Perform competitive analysis and research - track current and emerging competitors in the space and ensure sales has positioning to speak to each one of them.
  • Evolve and continue to craft our personas and align the whole company around them.
  • Engage in frequent conversations with customers to collect customer insights and feedback.
  • Sit in on sales calls to better understand our personas, their challenges, objections, and goals.
  • Plan, manage, and run end-to-end customer engagement and education campaigns.
  • Align overall company messaging with our personas and ensure that all teams are adhering to this messaging.
  • Build sales collateral - case studies, one pagers, sales decks - that support our sales team in educating and selling.
  • Work closely with our content and demand gen teams to align messaging and target audience across all content and campaigns.
  • Build collateral supporting our CS team - from product training to product tips and tricks.
  • Track success of messaging, training programs, and customer engagement campaigns.



What You’ll Need:


  • 5+ years experience as a B2B tech product marketer
  • 3+ years writing product copy
  • Exceptional writing abilities, able to research new and complicated topics and write as though you’ve been an expert in that topic for some time
  • A drive that comes from within, ability to work autonomously and take ownership
  • Comfort or experience in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • A highly inquisitive nature, passion for learning, and willingness to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize data and provide insights
  • Able to “manage up and across” multiple departments
