Director of Product Marketing

Catalant is at a phase of its growth where Marketing is at the core of our strategy. As the leader of the Product Marketing organization reporting to the SVP/head of Marketing, you and your team will develop, deploy, measure the impact of, and iterate upon Catalant’s core strategic messaging. In this role you’ll master Catalant’s messaging — including the research, concepts, and strategy that underpin it — and partner with teammates across the business to ensure that the right message is delivered to the right audience at the right time. The role is inherently cross-functional, sitting at the intersection of Sales, Product, and Marketing. 


On a daily basis, you’ll


  • Partner with Demand Generation, Content Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and other teams to co-develop messaging and content to delight customers and accelerate the sales pipeline.
  • Partner with Sales to develop high-quality collateral for current and prospective customers and gather key messaging data and feedback.
  • Partner with the Product and CX teams to ensure that our messaging is outside in and informed by what our customers want and need and is effectively reflected in different touch points along the customer journey.
  • Help ensure that new platform features are successfully launched, and data-driven market insights are used to inform product roadmap decisions. 
  • Most importantly, you’ll be a mission-driven, entrepreneurial self-starter who is willing and able to tackle a wide variety of initiatives, workstreams, and projects that call for critical thinking, creativity, and a deep understanding of and empathy for the challenges and opportunities that our customers face.  


What you'll do


  • Be fiercely aligned with, aware of, and informed by our customers’ needs and desires.
  • Become an expert in and steward of Catalant’s core strategic messaging and positioning, and a trusted voice on messaging questions across the business.
  • Partner with Sales and Design to develop and launch world-class sales collateral (presentations, video, etc.) that solve for different customer needs at different stages of their buying journey.
  • Create and contribute to the creation of thought leadership assets — like presentations, blog posts, videos, and more — in support of cross-functional leaders and on your own behalf, in partnership with Content Marketing among others.
  • Partner with Professional Services, Sales, Product, and other teams to develop RFP and RFI responses and software implementation guides and materials as needed.
  • Work closely with Demand Generation, Content Marketing, and other teams to develop contextual messaging and content for campaigns, company communications, and live events.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on Catalant’s evolving market conditions and competitive landscape, and deliver actionable analysis and insights to our Sales, Product, and Professional Services leaders.
  • Contribute to the creation of our go-to-market Playbook, which includes core messaging, distilled account strategy, sales process, and more.
  • Partner with Sales to ensure that Go-To-Market colleagues are effectively trained and up-to-date on the latest messaging and sales enablement tools.


What you'll bring


  • At least 7-10 years of product marketing or product management experience at successful B2B tech companies
  • A deep understanding of enterprise B2B buyer personas and a customer-centric approach to problem solving
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A love of customer-centered, service-oriented marketing and a desire to collaborate closely with key stakeholders
