About the Director of Product Marketing position

We’re looking for a passionate, driven and results-orientated Director of Product Marketing with a bias to action and a proven ability to develop and drive the go-to-market strategy for our suite of SaaS products and services. Working closely with our customers and cross-functional teams such as Sales, Product, Customer Success, Design, Engineering, this dynamic individual will own the playbook for customer growth and adoption for new products, features, and launches crafting messaging and positioning. Utilizing market insights, industry expertise, and other creative methods, this person will also help further position HappyCo as a thought leader in its industry. This role will report to the VP of Product, but will act as a strategic partner with all Senior Leadership.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Drive customer growth, adoption, and awareness strategies and execution of HappyCo’s suite of products and services
  • Create an innovative playbook for introducing customers--new and existing--to new products, features, and releases, including campaigns and key communication opportunities
  • Lead go-to-market launch planning with clear messaging and positioning, ensuring consistent information across all departments
  • Manage communication and information of new strategies, campaigns, and releases for and to internal stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain sales enablement collateral and assets for current and future suites/products/features to drive internal excitement and awareness.
  • Own product launches by creating excitement across our customers and prospects
  • Perform market research and be able to validate new product ideas
  • Consistently collaborate with other departments such as Product, Design, Sales, and Engineering for insights, testing, and learning to iterate on strategies for each product/feature launch campaign
  • Develop and maintain competitive positioning for key competitors, ensuring the Sales and Product teams are aware and prepared to address competitor advantages
  • Own the pricing strategy, including competitive analysis, internal communication, and roll out.

Who We’re Looking For (Requirements):

  • 7+ years of product marketing experience for digital products (B2B experience a plus)
  • History of leading go-to-market strategies and campaigns in the SaaS and/or Real Estate space (Multifamily and startup experience are HUGE pluses)
  • Proven experience in driving growth and adoption for digital products
  • Working experience in creating and managing product and feature launches, as well as lifecycle marketing campaigns (e.g. acquisition, onboarding, engagement/retention, loyalty, winback, etc.) from asset creation through campaign launch and retrospectives
  • Creative and innovative mindset coupled with strong project management skills
  • Impeccable communication skills--written and verbal--with the ability to convey complex ideas using simple and easy to understand language
  • Strong entrepreneurial and business acumen with a bias to action
  • High comfort level with data tracking and analytics to interpret raw data and convert leverage that information into actionable insights and innovation to guide launches and campaigns
  • Expertise with CRM (customer relationship management) and CDP (customer data platform) systems, such as Salesforce, Pardot, Segment, etc.
  • Experience with marketing automation and email management software such as Outreach
  • Agile-mindset comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight feedback loops
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 15% of the time (pending safe travel conditions)
