ABOUT THE ROLE


Snapcommerce’s Director, Head of Marketing Strategy has the rare and exciting opportunity to build and lead a product marketing team- from scratch- for our 3 digital products in the travelshopping, and money (coming soon!) spaces. We’re looking for a candidate who has a passion for helping underserved consumers coupled with the vision and desire to build a team that will define design targets and value propositions and then partner within the product and marketing teams to deliver end to end marketing strategies and results.


Our team is fast growing and we are looking for someone who is eager to find new opportunities, is motivated by career growth and who challenges themselves (and us!) to consistently deliver results


Challenges you'll solve

  • What should the Product Marketing function look like? How many team members do you need, how will you recruit, mentor, and develop them into a high performing team that market our 3 products? 
  • What should the objectives and key results for each product be (revenue, market share, number of engaged customers, etc.)? You’ll be responsible for tracking performance, identifying levers for improving, and championing necessary initiatives to attain key results and objectives. 
  • What is the market size and potential, competitive landscape, and customer buying behavior? 
  • What is the end to end marketing strategy for each of our products including:
  • design target development
  • value proposition development
  • tactical strategy across the marketing funnel from awareness, to consideration, to acquisition, to onboarding, to engagement
  • To execute strategies across the marketing funnel, you’ll partner with our performance marketing, creative, and communications teams – but you’ll be accountable for hitting key results.


About You

  • You have 7-10 years of Product Marketing Experience at late stage VC-backed startups looking to IPO in the coming 1-2 years, or ones who have recently gone public
  • You use research and data to develop objectives and key results and have created fulsome marketing plans for technology products – that have delivered results
  • You have the hands-on ability to write clear and compelling briefs and then work with agencies and in-house designers and copywriters to create a range of marketing assets
  • You have a consistent track record in crafting compelling messaging & positioning for technology products
  • You are a utility player- no stranger to providing thoughtful strategy insights, managing an agency and/or a team, as well as rolling your sleeves up and doing some of the pitching yourself
  • You are a player coach – eager to develop those around you on your team, at your agency, and within the broader organization
